I got into FASA trek earlier this year and played it a few months until my gaming group broke up.![]()
We had a great game going in the time period between TOS movies and TNG.
Anyhow, I had to modify it a lot because a lot of FASA trek was based on stats of this and roll against that and moving one space on your ship's deck plans is 1/2 hour game time, etc. You spent much of your time rolling against something and not much time was left for telling the actual story. They did have something going though with their ship to ship combat ops. Each character having their own ship panel made for some situations similar to what you would see in tv combat scenes. "Scotty, I need more power", "Cap'n she's givn ya all she's got", etc
Oh well, right now my FASA books are gathering dust because it's hard to find anyone out there who is familiar with it anymore. I'm tempted to rewrite a new system based on FASA, but I wanna see what Decipher is all about since I never got too much into LUG Trek.
