How does a thread get rated?
I am curious since there are a couple of 5 star threads, and no lesser ones.
At the bottom of a thread page is the place where you can rate it. Personally I think rating threads is silly because the change.
Its based on a vote tally like the polls.
I rated it a 1 and it dropped it from a 3 to a 2.
So obviously only 1-3 people have rated it.
But with enough votes most ratings will balance out.

I gave it this thread the thumbs down too..
See Cap'n, some people respond to your posts!
Actually, I don't like the idea of giving "bad grades" to a thread (this "grade" one was just in jest), but I do like being able to recommend a post - a good way to see what threads are good candidates for archival - old threads are occasionally purged if I recall correctly.

Personally, I prefer the Custom User Title line over Rating Threads.
Unless there is a message board contest in which we have to rate an adventure scenario or favorite NPC, then and only then will I participate.
Anyhoo, just some random thoughts...
