Inspiration for Narrating

For those of you interested in narrating a campaign that focuses heavily on characters (or even just looking for inspiration), check out the Deep Space Nine Companion. I was a little late to the party and just recently picked up a copy. It contains a concise synopsis for each episode, and a wealth of behind-the-scenes information and anecdotes. A lot of the stuff the producers and writers discuss cover taking characters and really taking them through the paces. In particular, Ira Behr has just a ton of wonderful comments on making believable, flawed heroes.

Really a nice read too.

Ira Steven Behr is a great producer and writer whom I hope will find non-Trek success as well. He should be the one producing "Enterprise." This is not meant as a Braga-bash (let's not go there), simply as praise for Behr. People talk about wanting Trek to take risks - he's the guy who would give us those risks.

I enjoyed the DS9 Companion and it worth the money I paid for it. The same could be said for the TNG Companion and the TOS Companion. All three give a wealth of behind the scenes looks. I especially enjoy the bits about what bits of the episode was left out or storylines that were contemplated but not adpoted. But the DS9 Companion was the superior verison, it gave a lot more info than the TNG or TOS version well its also about three times the size of the other two...but then it had a better story to tell...in the end
