Age has nothing to do with my decision to not go Trick or Treating...neither does the Anthrax-thing.

More of a cultural thing...as a true-blue Australian, I just never got into that particular American pasttime.

I'd feel stupid begging candy in a costume at my age.

That, and it's Samhain for me, so I'm somewhat spoken for.

No no! of course it's no reason not to have fun with Hallowe'en, it's just that I tend to be the host to the Samhain events going on with my group, so the whole day is eaten up by my prep-work, baking, cooking, candlemaking, etc etc.

You should see me at Yule..

And I love Christmas. Every year I get to go sit in a theatre, watch a new movie, and be pretty much alone! It's great!

gald to see you are not a Pagan snob. I have had one to many run ins with the purists who poo-poo Halloween...which I am forced to remind them is for the children now, not for us old timers.

I like to see movies alone as well, at 2 in the afternoon. In a practically empty theater.

Actually, our son Samual (aka offspring of phoenix, chaos generator, etc.) will do the trick-or-treating (with us there of course) and i doubt he'll get such a small amount of candy that we are't going to say 'nope, too much, ya can't eat all that. Here, i'll help destroy the evidence)

OTOH, I just put a really nice shine on my SCA armour for a local ren faire, and it would be fun to show it off to my neighbours...
