    The Decipher Adventure

Now that we're only (hopefully) a matter of weeks away from a nice new Star Trek system, a thought occurred to me.
Will either of the first release books contain a beginning adventure?
I know opinion is divided on whether such an item should be included, but as a narrator, i've always found it useful as way to kick off a new campaign, or revitalise an old one, and in this case, as I did with LUG Trek, use the beginning adventure to introduce the new rules system. I certainly used the adventures in the TNG and TOS core books to good effect, albeit with some minor revision.
What do y'all think ? And if any of the esteemed game designers are reading this, can you confirm the presence of an adventure ?

Neither book has a beginning adventure. It's all we could do to get all the necessary materials into the two books; fitting in frills (useful frills, but still frills) like intro adventures simply wasn't possible.

    No adventures

Oh well, guess we'll just have to wait for the first adventures sourcebook

Good... now my players wont't bug me anymore about how I hardly ever run my self-created episodes because I stink at designing them

Well let's hope there is an adventures book, as I have ran all the adventures in Planetary Adventures and they were all big hits with my players.

Also, maybe some of the adventure writers here should write submissions for Dragon Magazine and Decipher Magazine as well

    Decipher Magazine? What's that?

...and, we writers here on the boards could submit stuff to trekweb.com as well. I've been revising many of my episodes into submittable material, but I'm waiting for DecTrek to come out so that the episodes can be immediately used with the new system.

Assuming TPTB here will accept DecTrek material, anyway.

Isn't Inquest like the Decipher mag or some such?

    Interesting...

I for one am happy to see no adventure in the two main books, though I must admit that this is definitely a rare occurance these days.

I never run any pre-made adventures for any of my campaigns, though I do occaisionally get ideas from published adventure materials.

More source material for creating my own is right up my alley!

Oh, you can count on it. (Although the thought of my website not accepting submissions for a game I helped write/design is amusing!)

There are already two sub-boards created for the Coda system that will become visible once the game launches.

I have a hard time believing that, E. You're ideas always seem remarkably unique/interesting to me. They just can't cope with higher lifeforms.

Thanks, Don! It's great to know there'll be a place for all our hard work.
