I actually like both, but the series song is a bit better IMO.
And I swear that guy sounds like Rod Stuart (?)... not a bad thing.
"Faith of the Heart" (current theme)
"Wherever You Will Go" (used in promos)
Neither of these

Intriguing... because that's precisely the phrase my wife and I use to describe the theme: Stirring. The Enterprise theme just isn't...stirring. It doesn't get you excited (it doesn't elicit any reaction, really).
Just as neutral (read boring) as the rest of the series.
So, I think you'll have to concede that there's a difference between "Isn't stirring" and "Doesn't stir you," eh?![]()

I still can't see anyone saying it is stirring, but it is a matter of opinion I guess.
When I first heard the theme it left me "James Bond" (Shaken, not stirred). Now I quite enjoy it. It sets Enterprise in a new era, which is what they needed to go for in this series.
However the ending credits theme, which is based on the intro has got to go. Too cheery and whimisical instrumental. I would have liked them to perhaps do a cross between the instrumental version of the theme and some strking military or action sounding theme. Maybe they could compose a new theme for the end credits, just to placate those who still hate the Enterprise main title...
