Two New Series for LUGTrek

I've been out of the whole RPG scene for the past several months, lurking occasionally and posting rarely.

For the past couple of weeks, however, I've been assailed by potential players for a new Series. consequently, I've been taking some notes and writing some new rules and ideas for a couple of settings, both of which I thought I'd share.

The first is a post-Enterprise/preTOS series, Star Trek 2199. Set after the formation of the United Federation of Planets, but about 50 years after Captain Archer took command of the Enterprise, the campaign revolves around conflicts with the Romulans and the Klingons as well as the continued exploration of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants.

The PCs are likely to be human for the most part, but will doubtlessly include Andorians, Tellarites, Centaurans, and possibly even a Vulcan (though not in an "official" Starfleet capacity). Since I truly despise the Trek-nology of the original series, I thought I'd keep the look and feel of Enterprise while improving the technologies somewhat.

The pilot episode involves the investigation of a lost ship in previously uncharted space.

The other Series idea I've been toying with for some time is one of bounty hunters. There are details a-plenty, but I'm not ready to post them just yet. We'll see what else I can dig out from my hard drive later.

Let me know what you think.

Sounds interesting, mac. A pity that Enterprise wasn't around when I started my game - I probably would have used it instead of TNG.

I'd like to see what else you dig up...I might just steal it anyway (and use the All Our Yesterdays supplement to boot... )
