computer games

What computer games are you playing (or have you played?)

a short list from me (but by no means all-inclusive)

age of empires
colonization
warcraft
Wizardry I - 7
Ultima 1 - 6, played 7-9 but I don't recall winning them.

The Sims, tho not religiously
Railraod Tycoon I & II
Civilization 1, 2, 3
Starflight
Masters of Orion
Phantasie I - III
Questron 1 & 2
Star Trek: Final Unity (until I upgraded to win 98 at which point it won't run)

Tropico - ran it for a day, uninstalled it, now can't get it to re-install!

Zork 1-3
Hitchhiker's guide (never finished)
Spellcasting 101: sorcerers get all the girls

and probably a few others I've forgotten

Starfleet Academy - hated it
Star Trek: Borg - never got it to run

Incubation for shooting things and blowing them up with a hint of tactics...

Diablo2 For hacking things to pieces. Often.

Civ2 For the inevitable 'God' moments... Probably trade up to Civ3 soon...

Age of Empires 2 when I dont care if I win or lose, as I most often loose. I was tempted with the recent seige warfare game to trade up...

Sims The adverts were vaguely amusing, the Game dull as anything. So I dont tend to play...

Armada and Birth of the Federation for my Star Trek Fix. When I upgrade my PC, I will then be able to run DS9 Dominion Wars past the opening movie and actually play the game. (But I am not taking it back. Last time I did that, with Star Wars Strategem, or Rebellion for you Americans, the game was no longer available when I had a machine that could run it...)

And of course Starcraft For full on mindless combat...

I think thats about it for my PC, then I add my Playstation... For the beat-em-ups and Tomb Raiders...
DanG/Darth Gurden
The Voice of Reason and Sith Lord

I play:

Civ2 (greatest strategy game, ever),
Delta Force: Land Warrior (beats Half-Life anyday, even Counterstrike),
System Shock 2 (STILL haven't finished it...),
Escape From Monkey Island (not as good as Monkey 1 and 2, but better than Monkey3).

Currently i play no computer games.

And listing all the games i've ever played would probably crash the site. I've had many computer gaming related nicknames as a kid

But i can list some i've played like there's no tomorrow or just really liked.

Maniac Mansion
Zak McCracken and the Alien Mindbenders
Wolfenstein
X-Wing
Rebellion
Civilisation I
Baldur's Gate
The Blair Witch Project vol 1: Rustin Parr (Yes, i'm odd)
Shadow President
Knights of Xentar
Police Quest 1-2-3-4
Leisure Suit Larry 1 and 3.
Space Quest 1-2-3-4-5
Birth of the Federation
StarCraft (campaign mode only)

special NES mentions:
Tecmo's Super Bowl, still haven't found a better football game.

Super Mario Bros: Can YOU get to level 5-3 with no warps, no max life cheating and holding the remote backwards?

The Legend of Zelda: My save game battery is dead. So i have to finish the 'two worlds' in one go. Brain damaging

Arcade Mention:

Karate Champ: computer can't beat me.
Karnov
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: i don't add any quarters until the fight with Shredder.
Head to Head Asteroids
PacMan

I'll stop now, this is getting lengthy.
Jesus saves... and takes half damage.

When I can find time:

Age of Sail
Red Baron
Dominion Wars
"War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

This would make a rather long list, so I'll have to skip some games.
So, grouped by types :

Doom 1 & 2
Heretic
Hexen 1 & 2
Quake 1 & 2 (yeah, used to be an ID-Software fan)
Unreal Tournament
Elite Force
Deus Ex

Diablo2 (Original & Expansion, mostly online with a friend)

WarCraft
Dungeon Keeper
StarCraft
Armada 1 (and soon 2, probably)

Birth of The Federation (too bad it crashes the turn I'm supposed to win)

Fallout 1 & 2 (#2 is probably my favourite computer game ever)
Planescape Torment
Arcanum

...and more I played or enjoyed less....

I'm not a big computer game kind of guy.

Doom I and II

Duke Nukem 3D (my all time favorite blow the crap out of things game)

Master of Orion I and II (II is my all time favorite game, period)

Birth of the Federation (I went to 128 Megs of RAM, and some of the crashes went away)

Talking

Starcraft rules!

Other games I really liked: Wing Commander (all of them), The Dig, Worms, ... Monkey Island, ... Dungeon Master anyone? Populous? Of course there are others, but those are the ones that really did it for me.
