Yes, quite acceptable. Any LUG product already has my 100% endorsement for content. Any homebrew stuff will require my approval, although I don't forsee any problems.

What the person is asking whether of not you were goin to connect your IRC game to one of the various "Fleets" that exist, such as Tango Fleet or (hack-spit) Bravo Fleet.

These groups are fan-fiction role-playing groups who do not use LUGTrek rules or even other sort, nor do they have a GM, per se. In the cases I have seen and/or contacted, each player can post actions for their character and other Player's character, in addition to NPC. This concept is way outside the rules-based rpg which LUGTrek, D&D and other games are run.

To answer the question, I would venture to say "independent".

Okay, for all intents and purposes, this thread has dried up and died. I've gotten little or no interest, and half the interest (1 of 2) has decided that they don't have time for a game.

Thanks to those who expressed interest. And so continues my fruitless search for Trek RP.
