I don't see any bedwetting from Decipher

Then I guess they are going to loose you as a potential customer.

If any game is going head to head with Star Wars, its Lord of the Rings. On all fronts, the LotR trilogy has been going head-to-head with the new SW trilogy for the hearts and minds of the consumer. The CCG is no exception.

Lord of the Rings CCG and the RPG will attempt to strike back at Hasbro.

While Star Trek has always been a steady seller, its not exactly megahot right now. While I have no doubt Decipher will treat the license with fairness and quality, it will most likely play second fiddle to the Rings games for the foreseeable future.

Lord of the Rings is the cashcow - Star Trek is the firm foundation (especially with the fan club and magazines).

Thats fine by me, by the way. I am not about to complain until Decipher shows me it is unwilling to deliver with the STRPG. So far, delays notwithstanding, I have not seen it.

    Still waiting for word...

That makes 3 of us. Until the STRPG comes out, Decipher is just another blip on the radar to me. If they don't deliver, they'll lose me as a potential income source as well. (Note I didn't say 'customer'. I think most companies treat 'customers' good enough to be honest when they've run up against delays).

    A clarification...

I just want to clarify that I am not necessarily agreeing with REG here.

What I was saying was that I am not about to jump all over Decipher unless its clear that they are not willing to give Star Trek its due.

So far, delays not withstanding, I haven't seen anything to tell me that Star Trek is being shafted. Right now I figure that Decipher is working hard (especially wth Steve Long moving on to other things) to get LotR RPG off the ground. After that Star Trek will get its turn, hopefully.

My main point of my earlier post was to state while Star Trek is everyone's fave here, I think its a little hastely to threaten loss of patronage just because Star Trek doesn't get the top spot. Likely its not going to get it, at least with all the focus on Tolkien of late. However, it isn't necessarily a bad thing and we should all just wait until there is evidence that Decipher is unwilling or incapable of handling both licenses properly.
