    Crystalline Entity

Anybody out there use a creature like this ever?

It seems between the BORG and the Dominion, this kind of threat has been forgotten.

One of the few times I got to be a player in a one-shot trek game, instead of the Narrator, it was about the Crystalline Entity. A few planets turned up partially stripped, and our ship (the USS Niagara as I recall) was the only one around to lend a hand. I was the CMO, and we discovered that the entities pieces had mostly died, but a trio of them had started to "Grow" again. They didn't need to eat a whole planet to survive, had gone in three different directions, and we had to "herd" them into one place, reestablish contact, and then find them a natural habitat to live in (I believe we gave them a nebula or something like that, and on a nearby planet began construction of a "Feeder" device that would harness solar energy and project a beam of energy that would feed the little crystalline entities (nicknamed by the engineer "Huey," "Dewey," and "Louie.")

It was a warm-n-fuzzy episode, actually.

No not quite "fizzled", Thia and I are still working on the concept, but real life has taken over for a little while. Things are still progressing at a painfully slow pace. sorry.

Seems to me that the good projects take time. Or at least that's the rationalization I use to cope with the constant delays in most gaming supplements.

Seriously, though - sounds like a good netbook - what do you have in the seedling stages so far?

Aw, hell - don't tell me you need 800 posts to make full Lieutenant! How about if I just save a Federation Ambassador from Nausicaan raiders or something? C'mon?

    Don't forget Tin Man either.
