Hey Y'all - as I mentioned in a previous thread somewhere, I often drop your names into my tabletop game for a sense of "there's other stuff going on" in the Galaxy.

Basically, I was wondering if y'all would hop on this thread with very basic info on your game ships, including command officers and one or two tid-bits of information that would be what was learned on a successful Starship Renown check.

Here's my example:

The USS Perseus, Nebula Class, NCC 62035:

Captained by Captain Fanya Collins, ex-design engineer at Utopia Planetia, directly involved in the design of some Nebula Class modules.

XO Commander Jonas Kennelley (the son of famed Admiral-gone-wrong Kennelley).

Famous Incidents of note: Survived the battle of the 7th fleet and an attempted destruction sabotage by undercover Cardassian Agent during said battle. Undercovered plot by Dominion to open artificial wormhole to the Gamma Quadrant, using kidnapped Trill scientists, and defeated it, rescuing said scientists. Has a team of Pareses Squares players that placed second in the cross-ship challenges last year, who lost resoundingly to an Andorian team.

Captain Benson Hedge, human, the long time commander of the ship.

Commander Sevik, Vulcan XO and master of the Kohlinar discipline.

Lt. Commander P'reff, Caitian Chief of Sciences and newly minted second officer.

Lieutenant Desmond Parker, human counselor who seems a little younger than his records should indicate...

Deputy Kedha Voidrai, Romulan Cultural Liaison and sneaky politician.

Lt. jg Trask, human security chief (acting) still learning the job.

Lt. jg Vibo, a Tiburonian engineering officer with a pilots delicate touch... Who is developing a friendship with the Romulan deputy.

Chief Dovoro, a dashing Andorian transporter chief who stays away from other Andorians.

Lt. Lyanna Sonson, the CMO and long time shipmate of Hedges, she is one of a small few who have stayed aboard the Venture for the mission.

Ensign Maczar - The Elaysian Computer specialist, who is almost too specialised... <G>

Dr Corine Antionov, the civilian sociologist, eager to explore the Beta quadrant and understand the universe around her. Who is also developing a friendship with the Romulan deputy.

Lt. Nile Rutherford. A heroic engineer that certainly deserves to be chief of department one day.

Commander R'Vek: The RSN primeire explorer, know as "the Hawk" both for his appearance and aggresive nature in battle. Veteran of the Taurhai Offensives and the Battle of Benzar.

Sub-Commander Suval, Secondary Officer: R'Veks right hand through most of his career.

Sub-Commander Harlek, Prime Engineer.

Lt. Decius, Prime Tactical: A career combat officer and tactical genius both land and space. He has fought against all of the enemies of the Empire at one time or other. His last post was that of Platoon leader on Benzar where he personally accounted for the highest kill rate against the Jem'hadr...Killing 3 using only his blade.

Lt. Tal, Prime Operations:Newly arrived from Command. A competent, but unproven officer. Grandson of Sub-Commander Tal whose Commander was disgraced when she allowed her ships cloak to be stolen by James Kirk.

Lt. Merek, Prime Medical: Typically cool and aloof, with very little bed side manner and does not suffer malingers. Some of the crew choose to suffer minor injuries rather then "bother" him. Once under his care, however, he protects his patients with a fury. He has 4 Imperial Falcons for dragging wounded men from the field while under fire. He never carries a sidearm.

Uhlan T'Ral, Engineering Specialist: Bright and up-and-coming Engineer. A Senators son, who is trying deserately to escape the shadow of his father. (PC)

Sub-Lieutenant Kral'Var, Secondary Watch Tactical Officer. (PC)

Captain Anthony J Stocker - CO - Captain of previous Lexington (Nebula Class) Stoker spent 10 years as a political "guest" of the Klingon Empire. (PC)

Commander Katerina Isa Rommel - XO/1st Officer - Decendant of the Desert Fox. Strong willed and strong bodied, she is a action oriented XO. (NPC)

Commander Cyricus Plautus - 2nd Officer - A Magna-Roman of considerable arrogance, but also of considerable talent. (PC)

Commander Owen Pritchard - CMO - An older uman doctor, who was a civilian GP until the Dominon War. See sickbay as his domain and is fond of Jago Vlasdric in a paternal way (NPC)

Commander Peri Faie - Ship's Counselor - The 3rd Counselor in 2378 to be assigned to the USS Lexington, she intends to be the last. She is half human and half betazoid. She also went to Command School so that she could be of better use to her CO (NPC)

Lieutenant Commander Rahne Elig - Chief of Tactical - A half Romulan, half Trill with a tormented past and a dark present. Lover of Kell Perim and Tsunkatse Champion of 2378. (PC)

Lieutenant Commander Sam Mitchell - Chief Engineer - An old salt as it were, spent years as an NCO until recently being sponsred to OCS. Loves his ship, but has a soap opera of a real live life. (PC)

Lieutenant Commander Jago Vlasdric - On Assignment - The first Boslic in Starfleet, she is also a powerful psionic. Formerly the Chief of Ops she recently went undercover for Starfleet INtelligence and seems to have gone rogue. (PC)

Lieutenant Kell Perim - Chief of Conn - A joined Trill in her first hosting. Lover of Rahne Elig and free spirit. (NPC)

Lieutenant Joran Desh - Chief of Ops - An unjoined Trill, Desh is a quiet Dominion War survivor who has just come aboard the Lady Lex (NPC)

Lieutenant Eloise d'Alencon - Chief of Security - Of French descent she spent the majority of the Dominion War fighting with the underground on Betazed. She is currently involved in a three-way marriage that tests her convictiosn to God and Church. (PC)

Lieutenant Thasha Purshina - Chief of Communications - A Caitian female with a relaxed and luxurious attitude. Suspected of being Section 31 by some on board. (NPC)

Lieutenant Muse - Chief of Sciences - A Gynoid constructed by the Daystrom Insitute using information gathered from Lieutenant Commander Data and from years of Andoids (see USS Enterprise - TOS files). Recently expirenceed an emotional awakening (NPC)

that is the current command staff of the USS Lexington. I added Jago since she is such a great character and will be making her return in 2379 (Season 2)

CO: Captain Hitomi Ozawa - descended from a long line of Japanese naval officers. Decorated veteran of the Dominion War. The current Wayfarer is her 3rd command. Previous commands include the USS Tannenberg - acting CO during the last six months of the Dominion War and the previous Wayfarer which the XO self-destructed during the War of the Gods story-arc. She is currently in a relationship with her executive officer and they have a daughter, aged 4 months.

XO: Commander John A. Shepard - at 27, one of the youngest XOs in Starfleet. His family has a long history of space exploration, including the legendary Alan Shepard of the Mercury and Apollo programmes. He has proposed marriage to CPT Ozawa twice but despite having a child and being extremely close, she has turned him down both times.

First Lieutenant: Lieutenant Commander Kal'tarin, an Andorian warrior, Kal'tarin would rather be serving RRT unit than acting as 3rd in command of the Wayfarer but he needs the assignment if he's ever to command his own RRT battalion. Tough and combative, he usual solution to problems is "fire photon torpedoes".

Strategic Ops Officer: Lieutenant Jo'van Kallin - a Katarian an excellent strategist and tactician, she served on Admiral William Ross' staff during the Dominion War and before joining the Wayfarer spent a year at Starfleet Tactical as deputy head of Borg Tactical Analysis.

Ops Officer: Lieutenant t'Riel - Vulcan. At 56 Starfleet is her second career after 30 years as an instructor at the Vulcan Science Academy. She joined Starfleet to see a bit more of the galaxy. She has a tendency to be a bit more standoffish than your normal Vulcan, and can be a bit of a jerk at times with her strict compliance to rules and regulations.

Conn Officer: Ensign Jessica Thome, freshly minted ensign straight out of the Academy. Jessica led Nova Squadron in her final year and is an ace pilot but nothing much else. She's raw and green, having been rushed through training to make up the numbers in hte wake of the Dominion War.

Ship's Counselor: Lieutenant Rianna Kardeen. A Betazoid she trained in psychology and sociology at Betazed University before joining Starfleet. She attended the Academy with John Shepard and the two are close friends.

CMO: Lieutenant Commander (Dr) Curron A joined Trill, Dr Curron met CPT Ozawa on their first day at the Academy and they are best friends and have served together ever since Curron graduated from medical school. THe previous host of the Curron symbiote had been a Starfleet Intelligence operative and Curron still has connections in the Intel community.

Tactical/Security: Lieutenant Commander Frasier Munroe - from the colony of New Scotland, Munroe speaks with an extremely strong Scottish accent which can sometimes be incomprehensible. Tall and slim he appears to be more a science officer than a security chief but he's an expert shot and an expert in four types of unarmed combat. Altogether a deadly package.

Science Officer: Commander Joram Tarren - from Alpha Centarui, Joram is more at home in his lab than on the bridge. Despite his rank he is not bridge qualified and has no desire to be. He's happiest in his labs. He has Ph.D in astrophysics, Botany and Geology.

Chief Engineer: Lieutenant Carr'ean Josel - a Betazoid who has a quirk in her genetic make-up making her unable to access any part of the Betazoid's usual psi powers. She compensated by studying engineering and mechanics, prefering machines to people who she could not relate to. A first class engineer, Josel won the Scott Prize for Engineering at the Academy.

Thorondor means king of eagles, many Andorans feel that serving on this ship is a great honor...a friendly rivalry exists with the USS Eagle...naturally.

Yes, you'll notice that many crewmembers are relatives, distant and not so distant to TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager, novel characters, etc... it started as a bit of an in joke in our group and took on a life of its own, and honestly has never gotten in the way off good roleplaying, and adds a lot of history to the characters....

The ship's crew includes members from over 36 species, including Gorn, Klingon, Tellarites, Lurians and even a Horta....this diversity has led to many, many stories as crewmembers get along, and don't get along with one another and try to understand each other's cultures....often with very funny results.
