    The idea is fabulous.

So what ships of you cruise the spacelanes of the Star Trek universe these days?

Our ship is the U.S.S. Atlantis [NCC-22626-A]. She is a ship of the Intrepid class which became the crew's new ship after they had needed to sacrifice their old Atlantis (Niagara-class) in the line of duty.

We were using my CODA version of the Niagara-class that was published in LUG Treks The Price Of Freedom sourcebook.

Here's one of the ships from our campaign. I know we've already had one instance of a Valkyrie but here it and the command crew are anyway. If you wish to drop their names or existence into your campaign, groovy!

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

    USS Valkyrie NCC 59901
    Prometheus class ship

Commanding Officer - Captain Jasar “Jase” Garris (El Aurian male) - Approximately 250 years old, Jase has served in Starfleet twice. Once, as an Engineer, being possessed of a much higher than average ability with Engineering, and later as a command officer. During his first enlistment in Starfleet, he had a rather eventful career, that ended in tragedy. The ship was caught in a harsh magnetic storm, which caused a navigational malfunction. As a result, the ship struck a line of old gravitic mines near the Romulan Neutral Zone. The ship, the USS Freedom, was heavily damaged, killing the captain, several key officers, and Jase's wife and eleven year old daughter. He left Starfleet to wander and soul search, even to roam over Qo’noS, the Klingon homeworld and ch'Rihan and ch'Havran, the Romulan homeworlds for 53 years (from 2289-2342). He returned to the Federation and lost himself in working on ships and the like. Finally, he re-enlisted in Starfleet, and took command of Deep Space 4, near the Neutral Zone. That assignment lasted a year before he was assigned to Valkyrie.

First/Executive Officer - Commander Kelly Thomas (human female) - rough and tumble officer that doesn't mind getting her hands dirty. She knows her job and knows it well, and you'd better know yours too. Nicknamed "The Titanium Bitch."

Chief Science Officer/Second Officer - Commander T’Sera (Vulcan female) - A recognized and accomplished genius in her field. She has worked as a Liaison Officer on DS4 between the Federation and Romulans, and her specialties are xenopsychology and sociology.

Chief Operations Officer/Third Officer - Lieutenant Commander Sanja “Click” Klikowski (human female) - She's very bold and daring, as well as unorthodox, in her manner and attitude. While a scientist, she's very much an "Indiana Jones" type of scientist. Also, she's been known to be rather rapacious in the sating of her appetites, be they for food, or intimacy.

Chief Engineering Officer/Fourth Officer - Lieutenant Commander LeeAnn S. Costas (human female) - An absolute engineering genius, she had her first patent with the Federation Patents Office at the age of 9. If it can be engineered, its said she can fix it, figure it, or make it better. Extremely reclusive and quirky, since she doesn't handle being around other people well due to having an extremely bad case of Generalized Anxiety Disorder, she's an entirely different person when she's working. She's been known to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Chief Tactical Officer/Fifth Officer - Lieutenant Karana Mendez – (Half Klingon, Half Human female) - A no nonsense officer not afraid to make the hard call

Chief Security Officer/Sixth Officer - Lieutenant Thurian Resama (Atreonid male) - Breaking with normal Atreonid tradition of being a diplomat in the normal sense, he seeks to maintain security through preventative measures, but doesn't hesitate to use force if absolutely necessary.

Chief Flight Control Officer/Seventh Officer - Lieutenant Harry Davenport (human male) - The quintissential "hot shot" pilot, but with a likeable streak.

Chief Medical Officer - Commander Anjali Singh, MD (human female) - Deeply devoted physician that's developed a few revolutionary treatments in her time

Chief Counselor - Lieutenant Commander Elen (Deltan female) - A dedicated counselor, devoted to the mental and emotional health of the crew.

Director of Marine Operations - Master Gunnery Sergeant James “Ice” Kreski (human male) - No nonsense Marine with an engineering background, but also specializing in tactics, combat, and weaponry.
