You know, you could do something similar by setting up an alterate universe. Design your own ship or crew and set them off. The Star Trek timeline and history only exist if the Narrator decides to follow it.

Narrators always had this freedom in TREK. Your only limits are your imagination.

Has anyone started to make any meshes use the uniforms from this era.

Haven't seen 'meshes'...but there are pics of the uniforms on Spike's Star Trek Page.

"War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

Spike site isn't to bad, but I was hoping for some meshes and someone who could explain to me how to play with them.

One way to accomplish that wihtout meshes is to edit images in a good graphics program. I did this for some of the characters in my campaign and the results were pretty good. Take an image of Picard, Riker, or whomever and edit the face of the character onto it. With a little practice the results can be pretty good.

The STARSHIP CREATOR program also has a utility to do this, and you can probably find a copy in the bargin bin of your local software shop.

I'm not sure about SC2. SC had an import feature for creating crew for your ship for the missions section/gameplay. I think SC2 has a similar setup, but don't have SC2 yet.
