Is anyone working on a game based on the Enterprise. I am just wondering obout training packages and overlays they would be different.

Well I am thinking about running an Enterprise era game at some stage, but it'll be a while off. Most likely I'll wait until Decipher Trek release a supplement.
But having said that, I would be interested if someone came up with something.
Personally, I'd be inclined to start with the TOS core book, and use most of the same skills. But I'd have to sit down and have a good look over them again.
I think one of the neatest things about Enterprise and the way that they have done it is that it allows complete Narrorator freedom in stories dealing with NX-01. "Temporal Cold War" is a synoymn for "Narrorator Carte Blanche"
I would like to see the overlays and packages for the TOS Core book I have the TNG & DS9 but not the TOS.

I am dissapointed that I didn't get alot of feed back on this topic.

I think people are waiting to see where the series goes, Thierry.
Myself, I like the era...if I were going to run it, I'd use the TOS corebook and just do a little fiddling. Wouldn't need to do too much, I htink.
"War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

I know I just thought that some one would be playing this by now. To me it would be great there are no stead fast rules, alot of uncertainty
boundless oppurtunity for adventure.

I agree...great period. What I would do is -- if possible -- get a hold of the parts of the TOS corebook you need (just the character creation stuff, really) and use the other rulebooks.
As for the ships -- someone did a write-up of Enterprise that seemed pretty decent to me...she should be about a size 4 and pretty weak, overall. I would tone down the power of the Klingon ships some, use stats from lesser-powered TOS ships, for teh most part, as ratings for the Vulcan ships. Other than that, it's gonna take some finagling on your part.
If you can't get the pages of the TOS book you need, let me know. If I can find some time, I'll scan them and email them to you -- copyright be damned.

I would really appriecate that, The TOS Core book is the only one I didn't get my hands on.
Thanks again

I am not waiting to see what the series turns out to be to run an Enterprise-era campaign. I want to start it now, so I'm not restricted to what they establish on the show. And if next week's episode totally blows my campaign apart, well... B&B break canon, why can't gamers?
I would suggest that you use the TOS core book if you'd like to run an Enterprise campaign.
You could also set your series a little bit after Enterprise... Mayweather said in "Fortunate Son" that "they have three more NX-class ships on the drawing board."
"Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens."
-Gimli, son of Gloin (The Fellowship of the Ring)

Heck, I was doing well before they started. It's my universe and I'lll...whatever if I want to

I have always said just that...In a RPG it is your world, do what you want. I have played a couple of games where I don't agree with the Narrators view on Trek, but it is just in that particular universe, not mine, not yours and not in the offical one. However, I feel what is put on screen should fit with what has gone before.

I once mention the idea of running a game based on a completely new race and putting it a region away from the Federation. The campaign would be the player exploring like Archer, but they would have no idea what's out there. Plus, it gives the GM the room to do what he wants without arguements.
I suddenly got the idea when Star Trek. com had this game that you could win a place on the series finale.
Hey, Thierry, fire me off your email address to scottrhymer@earthlink.net...I'll have the TOS stuff you by next Monady
