Tick: I... am the Man of La Mancha!
Arthur: Tick, you're not wearing that beard to dinner tonight.
    Tick: ...La Mancha...

Sometimes I like to see a show that doesn't even pretend to take itself seriously.

I (politely) disagree with you. Despite their track record, it seems to me that B&B are planting the seeds of long-term story arcs already. It seems to me that the show is headed somewhere...

Anyways, I remember watching The Tick cartoon when I was still a young one. I thought it was probably a bit over the heads of the kids who watched it, though.

I remember reading a headline somehwere that a live-action Tick show was starting up on Fox. And just recently, I read a headline saying it was cancelled. I hope I have a chance to catch an episode or two, since I have yet to see one of them.

Too bad its probably not going to be around for those "long-range" story arcs to take place...Due to the mediocrity that has been shown thus far.

Anyway to be on track, somethings should not be made into live action shows...You expect certain animated shows to be ridiculus, but want a certain level in quality in live action. Alas, the The Tick isn't the only "bad" show that production brain trusts (or should I say brain farts) have forced on us the last season. Black Scorpion, SU 2, Tracker. The list goes on.
