Therefore, crew need to obtain a bathroom pass. On average you get a pass every 30 hours or so. And Archer has to share his with Porthos. So the reason he's so uncomfortable is he's holding it in. Big-time.

If you carefully look at some of the publicity photos, especially the bridge shots, you'll notice that Scott Bakula's toes just touch the floor, but his heels don't!

Honest, he has to point his feet so that they touch the deck!
