    Unhappy The Files are closed.

    Another one bites the dust...

Fox has announced that this will be the final season for The X-Files. The series finale will be a two parter by series creator Chris Carter, airing in May.

It is about time the show wrapped up, but it's still a shame. At one point, this was the best SF around, either TV or film. It has fallen from that lofty perch, but even so, it's still better than 90% of the drivel out there.

    Thank you, Mr. Carter.

I cant speak for others... But the beginning of the end came in season 3 for me...

Thats when I gained access to Satellite TV and ended up watching 2 seperate series at once, Series 3 on the BBC and Series 4 on Sky. Unfortunatly that was when the 'Grand Conspiracy' found its legs and the order the shows were watched in became important...

And after the Movie was announced as vital to the ongoing plot, and was released several months before the events that sparked it reached our TV's, I got turned off for good.

After that I checked the TV guide for the seasons stand alone X-Files and tended to watch those alone...

Like I said I cant speak for others, but my story matches the fall, so I wouldn't be too surprised if it were mirrored in other viewers.

I watched season 2... I liked it...then I watched season 3 and noticed a disturbing lack of advancement. I mean after the fluke worm man how could Scully be a sceptic?

That aside I have been catching the last two seasons in reruns on Space and I have to say Agent Doggit it a great character and he resparked my interest in the show.

And now they are going to cancel it... Just goes to show, my tastes and those of the general viewing public seldom cross.

All I know for sure is, there better be some answers in this ending.

I enjoyed X-Files for some years...it was a great show with a great plot but after I think season 5 when everything was revealed it sort of when down hill and I stopped watching. Well it was fun while it lasted, goodbye...

    Everyting was revealed? Honest?

Okay so what did I miss between Season 3 and 6 (we are in 7 now right?)?

    I mean seriously

    Where is Mulder's sister?

    Who are the aliens?

    What do they want?

I am probably missing a million questions by this point, but you get the idea

Well, they revealed a bunch of stuff, but then went on to either ignore it or say they lied... ah well.

my personal feelings on X-Files are that Chris Carter decided that too many people had guessed the "Secret behind the scenes stuff" and decided to change where he was going mid stream.

At the beginning, it looked like he had a plan, a direction of where it was going.

Toward the end, it just looked like a bunch of random thrown together crap.

So, Goodbye X-Files. Once you were great. I'll try to remember that.
