Ok, that's an easy one...X-Wing!

Is there any other cooler fighter in the Star Wars Universe, especially after the X-Wing series of novels and comics?

Though there is the possibility that the new Jedi Starfighter might end up being cool, and the Naboo N-1 isn't bad either, though I guess both of those would count as others.

Still, the X-Wing is the coolest, in my book.

A-WING!

A-wings have the speed and maneuverability to run rings aroung X-wings, or any other ship in the SW galaxy. And some have been field modified to pivot the laser cannons a full 360 degrees. You need a hot pilot with lots of time at the controls to get the most out of the A-wing, but after he's learned to push it right to the edge of the envelope, nobody's gonna touch him.

actually sarge that would depend on what x-wing maybe it would with the model luke flew the old t-65b model, but the newer t-65ac4 models yer in for a nasty dogfight..
anyways...

since i don't follow fashions herd i'm going with a corellian engineering INT-66 heavy interceptor: lean mean and can dish it out as well as take it...hey,it's corellian.

but,
if I'm stuck with picking the ol standard vessels it would be the y-wing, why? as geordi put it "just because somethings old you don't have to throw it away"

(i'm actually surprised nobody has chosen the tie defender or the v-38 phantom yet...)
god, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,The good fortune to run into the ones I do,And the eyesight to tell the difference..

the Viper is my favorite.

huh wait this is Star Wars, sorry

I voted for the B-wing; I like its unusal shape; plus when I was a kid I wanted a Kenner B-wing BAD! When I finally got it, I wasn't disappointed! The thing was huge!

my second pick would be the A-wing or the TIE Interceptor.

I voted B wing. Anyone besides me collect SW legos? If only I could keep mine sorted I could do some cool kitbashing. If only there were Trek legos. Why must everything be scaled to the minifigures? I want a smaller Falcon and Corellian Corvette. I want a Star Destroyer.

I also collect the SW Legos. The size of the Falcon & Corvette are livable, and the scaling is nice (though the Corvette is actually only scaled to the super-detailed X-wing/TIE Interceptor, not the figures).

I'd love to see a scaled-to-the-figures Star Destroyer (it'd be, what, quarter of a- mile long?) But I, well, wouldn't have any place to put it.

Okay this is an easier pick that the fav. characters: The X-Wing!

Though the B-Wing is Damn well cool as well. And the Tie-Interceptor looks good, too. And the Tie-Defender from the games was nice. An'....AARGH!! Not again!!

Y-Wing all the way.

Never quite figured out why however.

B-Wing

OK, they aint that manueverable, and they're a bit akward looking. But you gotta give it this, they're small, and they're designed to take on Capital Ships and disablize them with their Ion Cannons.

Gotta have my guns!

I suppose Skipray blast boat is not on the list of possible choices? Actually my fave is the Preybird of the later fighters. It's prettier than an x-wing or TIE Interceptor, and it's still got the balance of features to get the job done, no matter the job. So, it's my favorite and I have to choose other above.
