    Favorite spacheships...ever!

All right folks, the starfighter poll gave me this idea : you get to pick your 3 favorite spacecraft from ANY source : TV, movies, manga; even NASA crafts, etc.

    Ok here's mine :

    -Romulan D'deridex Warbird
-DP9 Jovian Chronicle Valiant strike carrier
-AOG B5 Wars Octurion Centauri battleship

honorable mention to Legend of the Galactic Heroes' Koenigs Tiger and of course, the Enterprise-D

I know I had a really hard time limiting it to 3... that's part of the challenge!

Under the brave black flag I fly,
    Than play a sanctimonious part
With a pirate head and a pirate heart!"

    Movie-era Enterprise.

    Narn heavy cruiser (G'Quon class)

    Nostromo from Alien
"War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

    3) The Space Carrier Saratoga (Space Above & Beyond) [Becauce it was "real" looking]

I prefer the Manga ones myself. Battleship Yamato is my personal favourite with the SDF-1 coming in a close second.
    Arise, arise, Riders of Theoden!
Fell deed awake: fire and slaughter!
Spear shall be shaken, shields be splintered,
    a sword-day, a red-day, ere the sun rises!
Ride now, ride now! Ride to Gondor!

    My top three:

Moya (Farscape) I like the organic look.
    Enterprise (the original, no bloody A, B, C, D or E)
Ryoh-Ohki (Tenchi Muyo) for no reason other than any rabbit that sounds like a cat and changes into a big honking heavily armed warship has to be in my top three.

    Close runners up:
Battlestar Galactica (Yes it is a really big S.O.B).
Scorpius's Command Carrier (From the penultimate Season 3 episode it must be bigger than Battlestar Galactica)
    The Eagles (Space 1999)

Andromeda has been growing on me. (And not just because of the avatar. ) The "rollcage" takes some getting used to, but I like it now.

The Mon Calamari flagship has nice, curving lines, too.

The old Constitutions are classics, not to mention the first really believable starships ever seen on screen.

Honorable mentions to Ambassador class, Nebula class, and SW Hapan Nova class battlecruisers. Oh, and Sovereigns, too.

For small ships, I like A-wings, X-wings, Buck Rogers starfighters, Talon scouts, and "speedboat" shuttles (which I refer to as coupes).

Undermining every pompous spaceship design known to man.

1st: definetely the old connie ( and refit).

2nd: Romulan Warbird ( truly an incredible design ).

3rd: Have to agree with silverthorn, the space 1999 Eagle. Loved those birds.

Honorable mentions go to the klingon D7 battlecriuser, battlestar galactica and the viper. Last but not least the Valkyrie fighter from robotech.

I thought 'Falcon', even before I saw Aslan's post.

And the Enterprise (though I can't decide between the -D and -E)

    And the Mon Cal cruiser.

Though I like some ships from Babylon 5, and the Super Star Destroyer, I wouldn't want to have one of 'em in Orbit around my homeworld.....
The darkness inside me is a lot scarier than the darkness out there....
