Oh man, Spacedock rocks!

    I just DL'd SPACEDOCK.

First reaction: Holy Frell, this rocks in a big way.
Second reaction: Where's the blank ship sheet?

    Anyone do a blank sheet.

    Help someone please.

Ah, a new convert to the joys of hard core ship building. I used to have a few design forms but I lost them Anyone remember where they are at?
Silverthorn, a couple of suggestions for the newbie shipbuilder:

Download the Ship Recognition Manual Vol 1. Studying the various designs will give you an idea of ship equipment for a particular time period. That way a ship for a particular time period will look more realistic.
Instead of working up a ship from scratch, I suggest finding some fan designed ship schematics and convert them. I find that a preexisting drawing or design is easier to build. A good source is the Starship Schematic Database.
I'm glad your joining the the SD Club.

After the initial severe headache subsides, its quite easy to use.

To add to Highways advice, I would suggest that you have a good idea of your designs role within the Fleet.

BTW. I have just copied the thread over to the Spacxedock forum, as it seems the logical home for a thread on spacedock...

Where, mr Silverthorn, you can also find nearly/over (?) 12 months worth of Fan designed ships and rules clarifications...

    OOPS!!

I spotted the Spacedock forum straight after I submitted the thread.

Oh well, if I was perfect it'd be boring.

S'alright. Those who don't screw up never learn or grow. .<p>Another good source for ship designs is the Ex Astris Scientia website. The EAS Fleetyards has over fifty of Bernd Schenider's designs spanning all the eras of Trek. I already built two ships from this site: the Meteor and the Ramses classes. The Meteor is a particular favorite of mine; if you are interested, I'll forward you the URL of the website containing the ship's stats.

The headaches subsided??? Damn! That wasn't part of my master plan!

Seriously, though, glad you're enjoying Spacedock, Silverthorn. We should have another Ship Recognition Manual available soon, if those interest you.

Not the official ones, no. Steve and I were going to save them for the first update of Spacedock as there wasn't time to include them in the original release.

Sure, that's fine with me. If that's what you were referring to in the other thread, no need to reply to my post there.
