    Transporters Question

For purposes of starship contruction / data sheets, when the NG refers to transporters, is it quantifying the number of transporter rooms?

Yes, but because transporters are bought in "blocks" of 1 space = (size/2) of each type of transporter, the results may not correspond to "official" sources for the few ships on which the number of transporters is actually established. My advice is to buy the extra transporters as needed to bring the numbers up to what you or your sources think should be the correct number of facilities, with the size/2 formula restricting the numbers possible per space spent. (In most cases, I suspect you'll only be spending 1 extra space anyway.)
