Talking OHMIGOD!!!

Size: 15' long, 4' diamater
Mass: 2 tons
Blast Radius: 1.5KM
Reviving the old concept of "One Shot One Kill" Starfleet designers pulled out all the stops in the design of this weapon.
Upon detecting a target or targets in the blast radius, the on-board quantum flywheel begins discharging plasma into a special reaction chamber. The plasma is superheated using gravatic compression. Next this plasma is mixed with anti-matter plasma from a second flywheel/reaction chamber assembly resulting in one hell of an impressive burst of radiation and raw thermal energy.
This weapon is designed to take out enemy starships with one shot, or to damage a close-flying formation of large ships.
Due to it's large size, most standard shipboard launch centers (aka "torpedeo tubes") are unable to handle this weapon. The other factor limiting it to fighter/bomber launch is that 99% of starships currently in service are also not setup to allow the transfer of plasma-state antimatter to the launch complex.
Due to its limited military roll˛, only about 1500 have been constructed and issued to fleet units, mostly GAMBLER class starships and a limited number of fighter-carrying units.
This baby gives a whole new meaning to the term "flame-broiled", doesn't it? Talk about having it your way...
Notes:

For SPACEDOCK, lets say a base damage of 8000, shall we?
It is limited because its hard to cram yeast into a torpedo.
P.S. I'm gonna see about modifying my Resolute class construction project ship's torp tubes to launch this baby...
The best way to predict the future is to create it.

You see this is what happens when I get on the boards after work.

Ok, I really need to start remembering the Board Title- the 13 damage is LUG, 130 SD damage (though I've been halving the conversion, so 65). Also, I would have the damage be broken up in to (SFB term) damage blocks, that would probably need to be figured out in play.

Not if you slid it in sideways . Your right though.

I have never played SFB Phoenix so I have nary a clue. If 65 damage or whatever does it for you, go for it.

IIRC 'Damage Blocks' work something along the lines of- damage is split along facings (total of 6 facings in SFB) so if a wide weapon type (think shotguns) hits a ship on side the damage is divided by three (one per side) odd numbers go to the center shield facing. If caught in a corner divide by two, odd numbers go to stronger side or random.

However in LUG/SD the damage (to represent the spread out damage) would need to broken up in to small part, 5-20 GM's perogitive, then rolled for random locations...or something like that...but I'm starting to get off subject here.

Well, to cary on Styros WHOPPER idea.

The Gauntlet Bomber is able to carry a maximum of four WHOPPER class weapons in its aft missile bay. These weapons are carried on a rotary launcher.

A weapon is prepared for firing, by the weapon been rotated to the top position to allow for the transfer of plasma-state antimatter from the storage unit. This storage unit is fitted into the existing magazine area and the top quarter of the missile bay. After the infusion of plasma state antimatter, the armed weapon is then rotated to launch position.

The rotary launcher can fuel and launch a WHOPPER every nine seconds. Standard practice is for the launching platform to execute a maximum delta vee course change away from the target after launch.

In the event of a malfunction or accident, all remaining missiles and the fueling system will be automatically be ejected.

There you go Styro. Will the USS Gambler be getting a couple of squadrons of Gauntlets now?

Thats a good idea from Liz. I will have to dream up some interesting new probes.

It just goes to show who has the brains in the new Styro household.
