    Tres cool!

    One question though

It is more difficult to upgrade and acquire non-professional skills
This seems to run contrary to LUG. Besides that, you still need "non-professional skills" in a pinch!

My apologies if I anger the copyright gods with this post

I definately like the way the skills and specialisations seem to work. It looks way more flexible than ICON (and ICON wasn't too shabby either).

2D6 is much better than rolling X number of dice as well. I think the system will certainly be much easier to learn (for both players and GMs) and I'm looking forward to sitting down with the book and creating a few sample characters.

Only days to go woohoo!! (though by the time I get it airmailed to the UK, it'll probably be more like a week or two, ah well)

All I know is that the PG will be waiting for me at my local game store Wednesday eve when I walk in.

    Angry

Aaargh!!! I asked today at my local RPG store if they had any idea when they'll have it, and they answered that they didn't know!!!! .
Would it have been another bl00dy SW game, they would have known to the minute, but nooo ST doesn't interest people around here.
Althoug it seems they knew at least what it was, since the guy I asked said that "everybody was waiting for it" (strange to hear that in France).
Well I keep hope... they had the new Spycraft and HERO RPGs. According to some other threads I saw on these boards, they came out recently in the US, so maybe all I'll have to wait are a couple of weeks. If being a fan of Blizzard video games learned me something, it is patience

Sorry for the rant, but I had to whine somewhere

Have you asked the manager/owner of the store? Clerk employees don't normally know what the store have ordered for inventory.

Then again, sometimes the distributor don't give the store the exact shipping date.
    Anyhoo, just some random thoughts...

No, I didn't ask the manager. However, the way this shop is run, it seems the clerks are the ones with the infos (on some occasion, I saw the manager asking a clerk about a similar question). But thanks for the advice
I just have to be patient. It's Europe, so there is probably a delay with the US release, and it's France, where Trek is not very well known. Some weeks full of nagging phone calls to this store to be expected
