Cool! I'll have to check it out.

Of course, I'm sure there will be many who say, "Yeah, it's nice, but they messed it up."

OK, so this is a total must-buy.

And I will happily ignore the 'they messed it up' folks Unless of course, I'm one of 'em

I can guarantee SIRSIG won't be the only one 'nit-picking' the life out of the book. But here's to hoping everything comes out close to correct.

Wait, does this become semi-canon if published- will the writers use this book for reference- My god! Could continuity be added to Trek!!!

    Nice try!

When you get your copy and look in the 'credits', you'll see my name as 'Thanks to ...' etc.

So why nitpick something that I helped with

Yet more incentive to buy this! Haven't you mentioned Geoffrey Mandel's name elsewhere on this board?

I was going to say that I wouldn't do that, but the truth is I have to see it first.

I assume it is going to be better than some of the truly half-assed crap I've seen out there, most of it done by well intentioned fans. However, I do recognize the non-zero chance that this, too, will be half-assed crap.

However, if it is well thought out and coherently done, the worst I am likely to say is that I disagree with certain assumptions made, though I understand the basis for those assumptions.

Much like my comments on SirSig's maps.
I differ with his opinion on the size of the Federation, but I realize that neither of us has concrete proof and his opinion is at least equally as valid as my own.

I gotta check this out...can't wait till October (That Long?! )

Now all we need is a book called Jane's all the Universe's Starships and I'll be a happy guy.

    Angry Grrrrrrrrrrr!

Hey Jedi Muldoon.........Do you always hate Star Trek stuff? Nearly every post I've seen you put on you seem to put a major downer on it?

I don't want to start a flame war here but I find it irritating when no-one can be grateful for people's efforts......whether they are B&B, Nick Meyer, Ronald McDonald or whoever!

Let's give these folks the credit where it's due!

Sorry if I wrongfully blew a gasket there folks.

I just hope that it is better than the Starship Spotter book they came out with. I had such high hopes for that book and although it wasn't a piece of junk, it was sorely... lacking.

Here's to a good book! *clink*
