    Races?

So I'm thinking that maybe we should try to make a definitive list of the races that will be in the NG so we, the Teeming Masses Surging With CODA Goodness, can start work on our own templates for the ones that won't be.

I mean, I'm sure we all have our pet favorites, right?

Except for the Sheliak. Lord knows we don't have anyone 'round here who likes *them*.

NG will have Romulans, Orions, and Andorians.

So, then, we'll have to make at least the Tellarites and the Caitians...

I thought Tellarites were in the NG?

Nope. None of the official announcements that I can remember mentioned anything about them being in the NG. I believe this was an unintentional rumor that got started on Decipher's board when someone asked "What's the NG got in it?" and someone got 2 out of 3 right.

That or some part of a discussion about Federation founder races versus main character races. As much as I dislike it, there aren't any Tellarites or Andorians who appear as stars or recurring guest stars in Star Trek episodes. Likely because of Paramount's attempts to make the Next Generation timeline (when they had the makeup budget) resemble the original series as little as possible while still playing in the same sandbox.

It'd be nice for Decipher to allow Don or Ross or Doug to say what their preliminary list of races for the alien book is right now, but I seriously doubt that's gonna happen. So just make stuff you need for your game, and post it here or at trek-rpg.net. Daniel, if you make Tellarite stats I'd sure like to see them. I think I can convert Centaurans somewhat from the old game, and then at least by the end of May we'll have every race you could need for a TOS era campaign, no matter the interstellar nation. In my case, that Betazoid peaceful ability sounds like a perfect place to start with the Centaurans.

Damn. I was really hoping for Tellarites. My co-Gm has a love affair with the testy little buggers. Two of his three characters are Tellarites.

Guess I'll either have to try and convert from LUG, or wait for someone here to produce 'em

I know it's well out of canon, but I'm going to try and produce TOS Klingons (FASA human-fusions) as soon as I get the NG

I'm planning my campaign around what happened to them!

Well seeing as you asked. Heres a Q template I worked up for CODA, converted from my ICON one. Of course this is subject to change when the Narrators Guide comes out...

Question What about the Aliens book?

Forget the NG, I wanna know what species we might be seeing (or might like to see) in the Alien Species sourcebook due out in Oct. (?).

Personally I would like to see more TMP Species like the Rigellians (Saber-Tooth Turtle varitey), Aamaazarites, Zaranites, Arkenites, etc.
