    TOS episode question

I have a short question for anyone familiar with Original Series episode titles.
Anyone know the Trek episode that involved both Andorians and Tellarites and revolved around political dispute, etc.? It's been quite a long time since I've seen it... and the name eludes me.

I'm hoping to find it at my local video store and use it as the basis for a campaign.

    Appreciate the help.

Journey to Babel. One of my favourites actually.

Good episode, but there should be a disclaimer on the video: "This video has not been altered. That really IS Captain Kirk attacking a faux Andorian with his ass."

    Question

Err... I do remember Kirk fighting a false Andorian in this episode, but I fail to remember anything about Kirk's ass...
Someone care to enlighten me ?

Way back when on the trekrpg@rpg.net mailing list, years ago, a member noted the fact that when fighting the "Andorian" in "Journey to Babel", Kirk employs a defensive maneuver of dubious use - sticking his posterior at the knife-wielding Andorian.

Thankfully, the Andorian chose not to attack the exposed posterior, no doubt worried that it would shatter his knife.

In any case, this was discussed for hundreds of messages until someone finally blew the whistle, suggesting that course of discussion had gone on far enough.

Since that point, when a discussion got way out of head people would call a "Kirk's ass" to suggest that perhaps the discussion had gone too far.

You may have had to be there.

I was wondering about that myself. Of course, those of you who watched "Journey to Babel" on a little-known piece of technology called "Smell-o-vision" know that, rather being a "defensive maneuver of dubious use", Kirk was actually using the Deadly Flatulance Attack. (In fact, I believe this scene in "Journey to Babel" was one reason why Smell-o-vision never reached the heights of popularity that conventional television did.)

I've always figured that Kirk was trying to use his finishing maneuver, the Big Butt Drop. Dropping that thing on some poor guy should knock him right out. Kirk just tried the set up too early, that's all.

Poor tactical planning, on Kirk's part. To the faux Andorian, it must have looked like the Doomsday Device coming at him, though, since he seemed to just stand there stunned.

"Oh my God, what is that thing."
