    Help with a Crew

I am starting a new DecTrek campaign and was wondering if you could help me out.

I am going to be running a Post Dominion War game and would like to see what you think of the following crew breakdown. I used a little Spacedock information and tweeked it out a bit to reflect the lack of Officers in the year 2375 or so.

Can you see any areas I may have goofed? OR am I missing anything major?

    Thanks in advance.

Well it looks fine to me. In principle, I'd say, whatever works for your campaign is fine. I use an Intrepid class ship in one of our campaigns, and my own crew breakdown is as follows:

You've got a skeleton crew there, unless that's what you want. Crew complement for an Intrepid is nearly twice that.

In fact, onscreen dialog has even established that an Intrepid can't function with less than a 100 crew (Voyager). With 87 I would degrade systems and slap on serious modifiers to all tasks as the shorthanded crew has to constantly work double shifts.

Of course, ignore for storytelling purposes. You did ask, however.

    Don,

    Thanks for the feedback.

Here is what I am doing with the Intrepid-

Ten ships of this line have been built and another eighty-nine are proposed. The USS Asimov was built in 2365 as a “demo” to see if the design would function properly. This was primarily done due to the failed computer modeling experiments under various conditions and stresses. The USS Asimov tested successful and was placed in a learning facility at the Daystrom Institute. She was “re-commissioned” in 2375 as a result of the lack of Federation vessels lost in the Dominion War.

Anyway, I wanted a smaller ship with fewer resources. None of the canon ships were to my liking.

When in doubt? Make sh@t up!!!

What I am mainly looking at is my crew breakdown as to categories. Did I cover everthing?

    I've noticed one slight error in you 'command' section: either 4 + 9 =15 is wrong, or 5 + 6 = 9. Just FYI.
The darkness inside me is a lot scarier than the darkness out there....
