I honestly have no idea. I'm not affiliated or employed by Decipher so I don't have access to any sales data. Based on what I've heard and seen at my own FLGS it sounds like sales have been very good.

Don, you are not employed by Decipher? But your name is under the additional design list in the PG. You are also one of the authors of the NG, aren't you? I guess that was freelance work, then.

Man, I have even greater respect for you now. You seem very devoted to this game. Even though you run this site, I thought you were spending all this time on the boards answering question as an extra service/help to Decipher. Decipher is defiantly missing out on a great employee.

It is still good to hear that the PG is selling well. Of all the rpg's out there right now, Coda-Trek is the one I want to succeed the most (well, I would also like to see d20 Star Wars do very well, too). May Coda-Trek live long and prosper!

That's correct--I am a contracted freelancer on these products and some upcoming ones.

The site is owned and run privately by myself (with a little help from a few friends) in my spare (ha!) time. It's worth noting that Ross and I (among others) answer questions on this board on our own time. I don't receive any remuneration for the site from Decipher or any other third party.

Kinda of an FYI to clear up any misconceptions.

I certainly hope the new game does well and people enjoy it!

    Cool

If its any help, our local shop (Little Wars of Baton Rouge, LA) sold every copy they got in (6 I think) and have ordered more.

Don, I just wanted to echo what E W Dawson said. Even though I only just registered tonight, I read over some of the discussions and I have to say I truly admire your putting in the time to support this discussion board, especially knowing that you aren't an employee of Decipher. I saw some of the abuse you put up with over the Constitution/Galaxy class thing. I think some valid arguments were put forward by both sides, but there was no need for all that ugliness.

I do wish you'd reconsider posting new ship designs, but I completely sympathize with your position. There's no need to throw out more bait for voracious and ungrateful snipers.

Anyway, this is a great discussion board. Keep up the good work, and don't believe for a second that everyone out there takes your efforts for granted.

Not to re-open old wounds, but what was the problem with the Connie/Galaxy classes that were posted? Other than not understanding much of the notations, I liked what I saw.

Phantom, I think the main problem some board members had with those two ships was the structure points (I think). The Constitution has more structural points that the Galaxy. After reading Don's reasoning behind making the Constitution 'stronger' by giving it more structural points I totaly agreed with him (it all made sense). Besides, the main problem was what you hinted at: we just don't know enough about the new starship construction system to go off criticizing it.

    Mod Note -

Moved original question of Narrator's Guide to merged thread (lots of instances of that question). Left remaining discussion here.

Hey good to hear the PG is selling well. Do you think Prime Directive will cut into Decipher's sales at all?

Actually, I was thinking of buying a spare copy of the PG, but then I thought why bother? That's what the Limted Edition is for

My comic store said their distirbuter was sold out, and more were on the way, that indicates that it is selling very well.
