Decipher has yet to announce a release date for the NG.

Man, I don't think I can wait! I patiently awaited the arrival of the PG, but waiting for the NG is like waiting for Christmas when you're 10 years old. It hall happend after I read the PG, too. The rules in the PG are so good I just can't wait to get a look at those in the NG. And the PG is only half the rules! The best rules --like ship construction, world construction, and alien constructoin-- are yet to come! At least I think all of those rules are in the NG.
P.S. Don, I doubt you are allowed to answer this, but how are the sales on the PG looking? It is kind of like rooting for your favorite sports team, you just have to know by how much they are winning. If they sold the PG at Amazon I would have some indication, but they dont.![]()
If you already have not, visit the "Just a question" thread. Don addresses the issue to the best of his ability. It is basically on track for a May release, so it must either be at the printers or already printed. At any rate, I can't wait for its release!
On Decipher's site, it proposes a May release for the Narrators Guide. Does anyone else have "insiders info" on whether this is realistic, or if there is a "locked in stone" release date?

Well IMHO this is perfectly feasible, horacio! With the PG, you can create characters, you have all the rules for making tests or for combat... the only parts I find missing are the rules for distributing XP (no problem if you only run an introductory adventure, and you can always give XP retroactively anyway), starship combat/construction (personnally I ran 5 adventures so far, none with any starship combat), creating aliens (well so far you can use the races in the PG) and some precisions on combat and wound levels I think (correct me for that part).Originally posted by horacio
O.K., I haven't yet the PG, so maybe this is a dumb question.
Would it be feasible to do small in-ship or planet adventures using only the PG's stuff? Because I have found a groups whishing to try the game, and I wouldn't want ruin their hype by saying them to wait a month...
Thanks!![]()
Not too impairing to run a few adventures, I think.

The Borg are mentioned in the PG and the NG both (since it would be hard not to mention them...Originally posted by horacio
About the NG, anybody knows if it has any info/stats on Borgs? (or are they maybe in the PG?)). But stats are not provided in either book.

Would a Borg sourcebook be envisioned for some distant day in the future (I don't know of any to this date) ?
Although personnally my favourite Borgs are the ones from Best of Both Worlds (to be honest, I've not seen VOY past season 2, so I have not much of a frame of reference), and these Borgs for me are nearly Qesque (no stats... they can do whatever they wish and if you're not really, really clever, you're either dead or assimilated).
And we still have the Cubes stats from Spacedock.

I doubt the Borg (or any species for that matter) is really worth a sourcebook all its own. Perhaps the Borg will be covered in one of the upcoming releases listed on Decipher's release schedule.
