Since no one balked at the idea of bring Count Iblis into Trek ....

You may recall that Count Iblis offered, as a gesture of his good will, to fullfil a certain number of wishes for the Council. One of those was the delivery of Boltar into their custody.

Well, I am reminded of the man who represented the Shadows on Babylon 5. He came to the station and met with everyone of importance there, and at each meeting he asked the person "What do you want."

Did anyone else notice that each and every one of them got what they asked for?
"I want the Centauri Republic restored to its former glory."
"I want the Centauri Republic brought to its knees."
    "I want you to go."
"I want to live long enough to see your head on a pike on display outside the Imperial Palace as a warning to future generations that some favors come at too high a price."

Yes, I have sacreligiously invoked B5!
You're a Starfleet Officer. "Weird" is part of the job.
When the going gets weird, the weird turn Pro
We're hip-deep in alien cod footsoldiers. Define 'weird'.

There is nothing wrong with invoking Babylon 5, especially if one of the moderators is a huge fan...

I had the Shadows visit my H.G. Wells game a few times - turned out they were partially and accidentally responsible for the Wells getting bounced through time. Though I never used someone like their agent.

Mr. Morden would make a great addition to a Star Trek game. Maybe he could represent the Iconians.

And the Tkon could be the Vorlons...

    Hmmmm...

I think that the Tkon and Iconians missed each other by many thousands of years. I recall wanting to do something with both of them once in the Lexington game, but couldn't.

Still a showdow type mentality works for the Iconians, especially since I play them up like the Ilithiad from AD&D

Mind Flayers in Star Trek you say? Of course, with a little Cuthulu thrown in for good measure

I think this campaign is coming together nicely

I will definately have to start a new thread soon, with just the campaign specifics all in place

The point of all this is:
The station is called Saint Louis Station, after the city that was the jumping-off point for the exploration and colonization of the American west, and also because of the path of the new passage.
See, coreward from Earth is also called Galactic North, and if you're facing North your left is West, so this is the Northwest Passage.

It is humanity's nature to name new places after old ones.

Some great ideas here, I come from South Africa, which has originally a way-stop for settlers and traders from Europe to the Far East (Dutch East India Co., etc.), and the first town established was called Cape Town, at the Cape of Good Hope. So I would go for Good Hope Station as a station name myself, has a nice ring to it

I like the Deep Star 6 idea as well, could lead to standing jokes about new crew being "Deep Sixed" when they come aboard, etc. etc.

After reading all 5 pages of this thread (phew!) I thought good names might be:

    Star Trek: Good Hope
    Star Trek: Awakening
    Star Trek: Renaissance
    Star Trek: Centrepoint

    Just a few thoughts ;-)

Or Temp, you could just make it 'Deep Space: 7-11', as per an Inquest idea

    I can see it now:
Klingon: "This is not a warrior's drink; my slurpee must be colder!"

Ops (who else would have repairing the despincer?): "How cold do you need it?"

Klingon: "Cold enough to freeze my blood, AND that of my foe..."

Ops: "*sigh* I really hate Mondays..."
...and that's about the time it hit the fan...

    Truisms I know:
    1) Marvel is NOT better than DC (nor should EVERYTHING be ‘ULTIMITED’),
    2) D20 is NOT the best gaming system out there (nor should EVERYTHING be ‘crammed’ into it),
    3) And No matter how ‘THEY’ dress it up, Regardless of how ‘THEY’ title it, and even if ‘THEY’ say “BASED ON…”; “ENTERPRISE” IS NOT STAR TREK!!!
    4) 'Reality' T.V. ain't 'Real'

    LOL

I think this has just inspired me to base a game session on the movie Clerks. The misadventures of a couple of crewmen who have horrible jobs.

Crewman Randall Graves, a science specialist whose sensor calibration job is so unimportant that he's never at his post and in fact he gets upset when crewmen point out that they need to access his workstation just to file away PADDs with senor information already in the main computer. "I'm a people person but I hate crowds. Ironic isn't it?"

Chief Dante Hicks, a maintence expert who is constantly being bothered by people who want to use whatever he is trying to fix (the holodeck/transporter/turbolift) and has to deal with his girlfriend, an ensign assisgned to ops, and her constant nagging about his lack of ambition. "I don't know why you can't get it to work, all I know is it doesn't work and won't work until you leave me alone so I can do my job! I'm not even supposed to be on duty today!!!!!"

The question will be how to work in Jay and Silent Bob?

    Hmmmm...'Clerks'....

    Well AM;
I could kinda' see Kevin Smith playing a Bolian (like Mr. Mot, the barber on NG)
Jay...hmmm...I see either Ferengi or Orion (both have 'seedy' natures)

I took it that it'll be on a station when I drafted these ideas...

BTW; don't forget Lt. Leonardo (Leonardo Leonardo from the animated), to put Dante through living hell...ah, life is good.
...and that's about the time it hit the fan...
