    A Trace of Trance

Check out the TOS ep "Journey to Babel". In the background, you can see a purple skinned female ambassador. A Kazarite would make a great...um...that man-eating bat priest guy.

I think Andorman is trying to say Magog, like the departed and lamented Rev Bem.

Well parts of it will show up in my next campaign. That is for sure, but I don't think I will do a whole Andromeda campaign.

Trance, when originally seen, had purple skin and a tail and short hair.

Now, after meeting a probability version of herself from the future, traded places. The new Trance is golden with long braided hair.

Not sure I like the new (golden) Trance.

To be hoest I find the majority of the aliens on Andromeda are not very good.

Some are neat though like those grey science guys with the funky chins

    Right right right!

I knew they were named after meteorites.

Does that sort of Alien naming bother anyone else?

Trek seems to be very guilty of it, but Andromeda has been doing it as well.

For my money I find it to be lazy writing, but YMMV.

I also had some ideas for an alternate universe where the concepts from TREK and ANDROMEDA were blended:

The artificial intelligence systems on High Guard starships were developed by Dr. Noonien Soong. Thus all High Guard starship avatars are Soong-type androids (and Data is the avatar for the USS Enterprise.)

The Federation military / exploratory arm was the Federation High Guard. The Genesis Project was actually the project that developed Nova Bombs in response to the coming Magog threat. This new weapon increased tensions between the Federation and all other Alpha Quadrant powers. . . particularly the Klingons.

In response to the potential Federation nova-bomb threat, the Klingons began accelerated eugenics programs under the direction of Drago Kahless. Their goal was to produce the perfect Klingon warrior-weapon for a possible assault on the Federation. (Essentially, Nietschean- Klingon- Angosian- Jem-Hadar type super-soldiers.) For intelligence and espionage against the Federation, Drago Kahless also develops the Klingon-Human fusion and the Klingon-Romulan fusion.

Although the Klingons are successful in their programs, their troops are quickly diverted by early arriving Magog. . . whose world-ship was improved after their race was assimilated by the Borg. The Klingons are defeated with only 1/3 of their super-soldiers escaping assimilation. With House Jaguar-Duras and House Kodiak-Mogh accusing one another of honorless leadership, the Klingons are unable to re-group due to internal political unrest.

Spock comes out of hiding on Romulus to seek a Romulan-Federation alliance against the coming Magog-Borg threat.

In response to the Magog-Borg threat, High Guard ship Voyager (with its Soong-type avatar and holographic AI known only as "Doc") slipstreams to the Delta Quadrant to enlist the aid of Species 8472. . . and in so doing must head for the heart of Magog-Borg space.

Fade in to the PCs on the bridge. . . .
