Post another char sheet (2 pages)

    hi,

i propose to you a new character sheet in 2 pages. it design is exactly the same than Don's one. Sorry, but i like it, both in colors and B&W. so, I remade the same. i apologize to Don for the plagia, but you are named in the file's properties.

In the file, there is 2 sheets (so 4 pages). The 2 first pages are a form and are usable for the character creation. All the calculs are automatically made (modiefiers, reactions, totals...) and you can fill the traits, equipment, specials attributes fields and any supplementary skills you need.
the second sheet (page 3 and 4) is the printable version. In fact, I think that is not a good idea to have a sheet completely filled numerically, cause your character change with time and you don't want reprint the sheet after each advencement. so in the second sheet the constant fields are automatically filled, others not. But the form gives you the values, so you can write them with a pencil.
of course, you can print the first form, if you want (don't worry about the field's gray background, it is not printed)
last details: this sheet is in MSWord 97/2000 format and exist in two languages: English and French (Cause I'm French)

    english version
    French version

    please, feel free to comment

    Thumbs up

Hey RD, welcome to the boards!

About the sheet, it looks pretty good. Had it been me, I'd have asked Don before borrowing his lcars-like design, but I must say it is rather faithful to the original so I guess he'll be all right with that .
Actually, I have only one question: <I><B>What the hell is this font you're using !?!</B></I>
As a matter of fact it makes the sheet completely unreadable on my computer since I don't have the font (and as the form is locked, I can't try to change it to some other more suitable font), but other than that the sheet looks fine .

the font is Swiss 911 Ucn BT, like in Don's sheet.
it can be found on the net.
I have a question too: when you say unreadable, are you include the graphic part (strenght, intellect...) or just the Skills list?

I'm not sure ... some fields do not print well, and most titles come up all garbled. On top of this, the table's grid seems to expand at the end of page 2 over page 3. Looking for the font as I'm typing .

Looks good to me, mon ami! Outstanding job.

Think I may take a crack at making it into a .pdf form, if you don't mind. Should actually have time to do stuff this weekend.

    Make it so
but, it will be really difficult. I think you must rewrite all the form. I've tried to do it, but it seems impossible (to be really honest i don't spend a lot of time on that)

    Thumbs down

I’m not at all happy at having my work used without my permission, especially considering I’ve spent over 20 hours building that sheet and I’m not even finished yet. I suspect you spent considerably less time on yours.

I’d appreciate if you no longer use my sheet as the basis for yours, specifically the graphics and layout.

    Thank you.

It already is in a .pdf form and form-capable; just use mine.

    Don,

i completely recreate the graphics. I've just use your cheet as guideline.
i didn't use scan or pdf crack to get your graphics
as i sayed before, i used those graphics cause they are great. I cite you, both in the post and in the file properties and i consider that as an hommage to your work. as you can see, the this sheet is rather different of yours: the skills are not in the same place, for exemple.

If you really want, i can stop the diffusion, but i think it will be a pity. This is just another cheet.

about worktime, i spend much more than 20h on it, believe me.
recreate the graphics from 0, place the form, write the macros, put the texts references to have automatic copy of field and, finally traduction in french of all topics demands a lot of time.

    Don's request:
I’d appreciate if you no longer use my sheet as the basis for yours, specifically the graphics and layout.

    Thank you.
I never made any demands or threats; I made a polite request. While I realize that English may not be your native tongue, do not misrepresent the situation of you using my work without my permission and then coloring me as the bad guy.

That's definitively not my intention. I understant your position and accept it. and, you right, english is not my native tongue, so i apologize for the errors and mistakes in my posts.
