Early grumblings that I've heard are that the ENT sourcebook won't be available outside the LE. The material will be worked into future supplements, however. For example, the Suliban in the Aliens Book, the NX-class in the Starships Book, etc.

With that said don't take my information too close to heart--consider Doug to have the official news so until he says otherwise, consider it a possibility to see the sourcebook separately.

I'll post a more detailed listing of contents shortly.

Let's see if I can fit the LE into my current budget...

    -grad year of college
    -new computer
    -apartment/room

I keep thinking that this LE idea will end up becoming the CODA Trek equivalent of the Decipher Trek CCG Fajo Collection. I guess I'm going to wait to decide on buying the LE until I hear a price...

    Question

Any rumblings as to how one will obtain the Limited Edition? My FLGS can't seem to get me a price quote for it... (I'm still looking for my copy of the Dune RPG as well...)

I really hate to jump in on nothing but a spelling issue (especially as I'm not that great of a speller myself), but I see this mistake so often and for some reason I can't explain it drives me nuts.

    Thumbs up

Thanks for the FYI, but you are assuming a bit about my motives...

    Question Price and Availability?

I was wondering what the estimated cost of this Limited Edition. I haven’t found any sites that listed list a price for it and was wondering how much more or less it will be than buying both the Player and Narrators Guides. Also will the Limited Edition be as available as the Players and Narrators Guides. The town I live in only has one store and no one has bought either of the Players and Narrators Guide so I doubt they would order a Limited Edition. If this has been answered please point me in the right direction.

Th estimated price for the Limited Edition is around $100 US. Available should be comparable to the PG & NG.

    $100

Hmm, that's more expensive than I thought. I wanted extra copies of the PG and NG, and the entra books certainly sounds good. But this is quite a bit more than the combined cost of the original 2 books. Well, guess I'll see how my money holds out.

    Angry Ow...You know what? Ow!

    !!!

I don't know. Considering how I already have 2 PGs and 2 NGs and I'll probably be rewriting the character creation system anyway, this is a bit much for an Enterprise sourcebook.

I dunno. It's leather-bound in a slip-case, and it's a "limited edition." This generally means a bit more expense. I can completely understand people not going for it, though. I thought for a while that they were being bound in human skin or something like that.

    Oooh boy $100 US!

I was toying with the idea of a LE version myself, but since that works out to a whole heap of Canadian beaver bucks (exchange, shipping - assuming it's only from Decipher, duty fees at the border... etc, etc.)

    (100 + 20 (est. shipping)) * 1.45 (conservative exchange rate)
    = $174.00 CDN!!!

    (not counting any border tariffs)

Sorry, I'll be stickin to the fine SE.

    Cheers,

I spoke with my buddy who is a distributor to see about this, and he says if this is indeed the final price, he doubts he will sell many as well.

There is just no way I can justify spending $160+ for a set of game books. Hell less than that can get me a full season of TNG on DVD. On top of it, the errata isn't even in the books.

Hopefully they will make an Enterprise source book for those who want the info down the road.

And when the second edition gets released, with the errata in, I will buy those.

Oh well, it was a ncie idea while it lasted.

    $100?

It's The Fajo Collection all over again...

    $30 (PG) + $30 (NG) + ? (case) + ? (ENT sourcebook) = $100 total

Maybe if i wasn't about to hit $20,000 in student loans this school year, on top of building a new computer, not to mention Stargate: SG-1 Season Two DVD box set and the Babylon 5: The Complete First Season box set, I could afford it. For me, it's the worst time for this...
