The Maquis is somewhat nice that way...due to the vagueness you can do almost anything with them. The initial majority came from the colonists and we have a fair amount of evidence that Bajorans joined up as did quite a number of former Starfleet officers.
I plan to do a scenario at some point dealing with the reintegration of the few Maquis survivors into society prior to Voyager's return.
