Fleet Date: The Christopher Class frigate was the last purely Terran designed vessel before the introduction of the NX class in 2151. It was also noted as the last Starfleet vessel for over 200 years to use retractable warp nacelles in the old fashion method first employed with the Phoenix in 2063. However when retracted the warp system was unusable and took 4 rounds [ 25 power/round] to deploy. With the engineering improvements introduced with the NX class, the entire Christopher class fleet was upgraded starting in 2156, just in time for the Romulan war which it was to bear the brunt of. 35 vessels built by 2156, wartime production increased numbers by another 45 vessels, wartime lost accounted to 48 vessels lost in combat 12 reported missing. Remaining 20 vessels transferred to UFP Starfleet 2162 for use as training vessels which used as until 2192. As of 2378 only three survive as museum pieces fully restored to either 2142 or 2156 appearance.

Noteworthy Vessels: SS Shenandoah (UNSS-36), “Trip” Tucker served aboard her some time before being appointed Chief Engineer of SS Enterprise (NX-01) in 2151.

    Nice. Just a few remarks:

You have some of the year references off by 200 years.

Entry for computers should be 2, not 1, as ICON ship templates have one computer core for every 2 points in this category.

The weapon accuracies look a bit too good IMHO compared to the Daedalus and Ranger classes from the TOS core rules, which have 5/6/8/11 each.

If hull polarization has a standard and a higher maximum rating or if both should be the same is a matter of personal taste I guess, but I can't recall any Enterprise episode where they "transfer more power to the hull polarization".
Again drawing a comparison to the Daedalus in the TOS rules (rating of 30/30) I would go with a standard and maximum of 20/20, at least after the 2156 refit program.

Nice write up though I have never read the books myself.

Just curious as to why you say this will be the last one?

Ah it was written in a different time and different era when it looked as if CODA would totally replace ICON. In hindsieght I was totatally wrong on that account.

Even if CODA had become the current system, a system only dies if those who favor it are no more. After all, there are still players of FASA-trek out there and while I prefer to use ICON now, I know at some point for kicks I'll run something under FASA's system.
