Sorry, I meant so say 'in the roleplaying arena'. Two years ago I'd have cited just FASA, LUG and FFG, and someone would have jumped on me asking "What about Decipher's 'How to solve a mystery?'" and the same problem would have arisen.![]()

That's what I thought too. West End Games did make STAR WARS RPG and MEN IN BLACK RPG but never a STAR TREK, that I know of.Originally posted by Phantom
WEG had a Star Trek game????
Maybe he meant LUG? As far as I know the only makers have been FASA, LUG, Prime Directive (can't remember who made that) and now Decipher.

I should have read further. Shame on me. As I read further I started to remember that game. (I wonder if my parent's still have it in their basement - was a cute game)Originally posted by AllenS
Wrong-o. Back in the 1980's West End Games briefly produced a board game called "Star Trek: The Adventure Game". You basically went around this map reenacting episodes from the original series, sometimes in a mixed-up order. It was not an RPG but it could be moderatley amusing for short periods of time. It was more-or less contemporary with FASA's rpg.

I have another WEG Star Trek game, called Star Trek III. It comprises three solitaire games in one:Originally posted by AllenS

The Kobayashi Maru - a recreation of the no-win scenario (toned down to make beating it possible - but not easy!)
The Sherwood Syndrome - try and overthrow a Federation scientist who has betrayed the prime directive and become ruler of a medieval planet.
Free Enterprise - a trading game.
As a bonus it includes two short stories by John M. Ford.
