    Saw that this morning. Sounds like the reasons for not going are getting knocked down.

    I walked into work and saw this, turned to one of the news announcers and said "Do we have this story in our package?" She said no, I sent her the link and now we do.

    The Mars Polar Lander was
    to touch down in exactly
    the right spot in 1999 and
    would have undoubtedly
    detected the ice had it not
    malfunctioned on the way
    down.
