Cap Vaughn - My Tzenkethi in Star Trek: Lexington were alot like what you propose. I do see a Lyran/Kzinti color in yours, and as I am trying to break away from a felinoid race, I will go with a more central authority in the end. that said I like what you have put forward, if I ever do pick up Lexington again, I may just borrow your ideas

For Star Trek: Genesis since the Tzenkethi will be constantly present or at least in the forefront of alien species they will deal with, I will try another angle.

As to what that angle will be? I need a bit more time to think about it.

Okay, personally I don't see a connection between the two as I am basing it loosely off packs of wolves.

But then my view of the Lyran/Kzin both of which I use as minor powers in decline may be quite different from others.

    *shrug*

If you find it useful, go nuts.

See this is what happens when I post in the middle of the night.

I did not mean Lyran/Kzinti... I meant Kazon

    Moving on

Laugh..Aslan. I can relate. Oh boy can I relate. There I can see some similarities but I see enough uniqueness not to be bothered by it. After all, one can see it in all the standard races if you look.

    What about there location.

The DS9 book seems to put them between Cardassian and Federation space.

I placed the Tzenkethi sharing borders with both the Union and the Federation. The Tzenkethi had a number of border conflicts for decades with the Union. What saved the Tzenkethi from the Union's complete subjugation of them was the border war with the Federation, whom the Union had met a few years before the Tzenkethi.

A brief alliance was created between the Union and the Tzenkethi shortly before the Tzenkethi-Federation Border War. But that alliance ended when the Tzenkethi settled for peace.

When the Dominion entered the Alpha Quadrant, the Tzenkethi signed a neutrality pact with both sides but several clans within Tzenkethi space desired to ally themselves with either side, seeking certain gains. Outwardly, all seemed calm.

    Regards,
    CKV.
