    Question question about Healing Drugs (Chlormydride / Inaprovaline))

    In the PG on page 177 (list of medecine / drugs)

    What is the maximun number of dose a medic can administer agents to a single injured person?

    It seem that their is no limit.

    It is like a potion of healing ?

    There is nothing specific regarding this in the rules, but as a Narrator, I would say that the dosage should be limited. Perhaps once in a 24-hour period?

    These drugs probably stimulate cell reproduction -- the same mechanisms the body uses to heal itself naturally.

    Steroids have a similar effect. Overdosing on steroids tends to have more long term effects (see: recent articles about Ken Camaniti) than short term effects, but those long term effects can be serious and permanent.

    Healing also puts tremendous stress on the body, as resources are diverted from elsewhere to the injury site. This can leave the individual tired and weak. Modifiers to attribute and reaction tests seem reasonable, especially: strength, vitality, perception, quickness, and stamina.

    Serious injuries also lead to shock, a condition in which blood volume decreases sharply. This is due to both loss of blood at the injury site, and diffusion of plasma from capillaries to surrounding tissue. Shock can incapacitate, and generally the only cure is to restore the fluids and make the patient rest.

    So, if your players think they can be horribly wounding, take a hit of inaprovaline, and get right back into a fight, they're wrong
