    Question Hey borg experts

    Hello,

For an adventure I´m currently thinking abut I need a way to separate all borg in a sphere far away from borg space from the hive mind.

At first I´ve thought that destroying the vinculum would be an option but now I no longer sure about this.

Oh, and forcing the away team to walk through the ship to destroy a specific system would be nice.

    Thanks in advance.

    Technobabble usually works...
    Try something like:
"Captain, our subspace sensors and quantumtransceivers are unable to penetrate that nebula off the port bow. It would appear that it contains large quantities of delikorn gas and nibrutium dust."

Well going off Unimatrix Zero, just shut down their central plexus. Its the system that recieves subspace signals from the hive mind.

    Watch Uni0 for more info!

Not a vital system! What the heck do you think stops the ship going 'poof' every time it goes to warp?

Maybe I should express myself more clearly.
What I had thought of was a system which links all the drones on the ship, but now I think that all drones are connected to each other by their neural transmitters.
Since destroying all of them isn´t an option and I think that the hive mind signal from the collcetive has to be amplified it would suffice to destroy that amplifier.
    But thank you, anyway.

I think the drones on the ship are all linked to a central processor of sort(A vinculum or the plexus), this is done through the neural transmitters. Nullifying either the neural components or the central processor will sever the link to the hive...and alert the Borg of the loss. I ran a similar idea, I had the crew run around through the ship looking for a way to release their ship from a Borg tractor beam.
Remember, although the crew know what they want to achieve they do NOT have a Seven of Nine present, therefore there they will not have access to important data on Borg ship layout.
Basically, the drones can be deactivated by destroying the plexus or vinculum, or even each drones transmitter can be altered...maybe using the regeneration alcoves as a means to disrupt the link with the Hivemind.
