    Question Starship Data Sheets?

    Hi

Finally got th NG, and it looks as good as everyone has been saying (I'm particularly impressed with the starship combat rules). However, I have a - possibly dumb - question: will starship data sheets be made available, with the system damage tracks, etc, incorporated into them? I had a brief look at the forms at the back of the book, but I didn't see them there.

Anyway, Don, Ross, Doug and co - great job! It was worth the wait .

I'm busily making terminal sheets for my PC bridge officers. I'm using a few house rules which I can explain if anyone really wants me too!

The OPS sheet is currently available in ppt format in the roleplaying section on my webpage:

    Suggestions are welcome!

The forms are inthe back, I think, along with the rest of the planet, species, and other sheets. Unfortunately, Decipher hadn't learned from it's character sheet debacle and did them with a freakin' blakc background again.

A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

But the Starship form in the back doesn't have any damage tracks.

Given that a starship can take a damage to components whenever a row of structure is crossed off, there should be a form somewhere showing those rows. But there isn't one.

Don had a few choice things to say in another thread about the lack of a more condensed ship combat sheet, and I think he did say he plans to produce one for fan use here. (This is good, I think, because the structure damage track mentioned on NG p. 114 seems never to have made it into the book.)

I don't have the NG here at work, but I do remember seeing a small (around 1/4 page) image of the damage track somewhere in the Starship chapter.

There is a systems damage track in the starship chapter (which should ideally be on the starship sheet too) but no structure damage track.

How many points constitutes a row of structure anyway? 5? 10?

Five points of structure equals a "row". See page 115 (right unde rtable 7.10) for more information.

This pdf form might help y'all a little. No fancy LCARS design, because the page is full enough already.

Every 5 structure 'block', the shields protection and the systems reliabilities are all check-boxes, so you cn just check off what you don't need before printing it out.
the rest are form fields too, BTW.

Edit: An updated version of the file can be found on page 2 of this thread. I have deleted the file mentioned above to save some forum space.

    Berry berry nice...

Perhaps another column could be added for space cost.

Hmmm, the thought never occured to me, but I can probably add some fields on the left edge of the page.
I'll see what I can do and if the file is still small enough for a forum attachment with the added graphics and form fields I'll post it here within the next few days.
