The first pearl class repair facilities entered service in 2267 replacing the older Newport class which had seen excellent service during the Four Years War. The Pearl featured a unique folding super structure which formed a full Spacedock facility when deployed. However once deployed it lost all ability to move and became as stationary as its non warp capable predecessor. But now Starfleet had a forward deployed fleet repair facility and had the ability to conduct major repairs without having to send ships back to the core worlds area.
The bottom of the spacedock has a full production facility which can produce or repair the major components required. Within its cavernous space dock area it can hold two size 7 ships (provided they can fit within the area of 190 meters, which is the inner beam and 75 meters which is the inner height clearance.)

Allows ships of ship size x2 to dock within a mobile dock. Further it lowers the basic System repair TN to 5 and Structural repair TN to 10 for all ship in its facility.
