    CorelDraw 8/PDF character sheets

OK, I know many people here use Adobe and Word format sheets, but I've been rather partial to Corel for many years now.

Anyway, having finally gotten around to revamping my ICON sheets for CODA, I thought I'd share them with you all, on the off chance that someone else might find them useful.

There are 3 pages. Page 1 is basic biographical data, attributes, edges, flaws, etc. page 2 is skills. Page 3 is service history, promotions, commendations, etc.

The Corel file is available here:

The Adobe PDF file can be downloaded here:

This is going to sound demanding and all, but...you wouldn't happen to have Acrobat, would you? I'd sure like to look at these, but due to a severe lack of natural talent in this area, I've never bothered with CorelDraw. Thus, these are merely a cruel tease for the likes of me. With Acrobat, you could have both the CorelDraw and the PDF.

I hope to hear a good review, however, so I wouldn't let my rambling bother you too much.

Well I do have Acrobat 4, but unfortunately I'm having problems exporting the files to it. The graphics work fine, but it won't recognise the font, so all the text formatting is messed up.

I'll try and figure it out, but it might take me a while.

Take your time. I was mostly just teasing, but I do so hate to miss out on a good thing, so....

Corel Draw 9 has its own native PDF support. You have two choices: Either PDFy it with someone else who has CD9, or save it as a PostCript file and use Acrobat Distiller to transform the file into a PDF. However, I'd go for the first choice.

Thanks for the tip. I'll see what I can do.

Corel 8 does have pdf support, but for some reason it doesn't transfer the text properly.

OK, it worked perfectly. Many thanks.

The file is about 1.25mb in size, and optimised for printing (it does not look as good onscreen as the Corel version) but it works fine. The downside is I don't think it can be edited in this format either. Sorry.

    Love it!

Excellent work!! I love it!! So far the most complete and usable sheet I've seen for Coda!!! I think I'll use this one.

However, I have one minor regret... The Attribute is not specified in the skills...

...And I have a question... what's the "Category" field for since you already separated Physical, Social and Academic tests...?

If you had the time to make these modifications... My quest for the ultimate char sheet would be over...

Thanks for sharing your work with us!

    Thanks for the kind comments

I'll have a modifed version available later this week. In addtion to your comments, I noticed one or two things I wanted to tweak. I've already added the attributes to the skill list.

I hadn't actually separAted the skills based on category, but now that you mention it that's a great idea, so I'll rejig it slightly. Heck, leaves more space to write specialistions. My only concern, is that their are so few social skills by comparison, that they may look a little small. I'd also need to create a block for psionic. Hmm, the joys of colour-coding

    Hi!

I'm glad you find my feedback useful

Finally, since I play tonight and I want my players to have a final character sheet (we have changed twice already, which is much...), I decided to make my own...

No offense; I really, really like yours but I needed one for the evening... If you are interested, you can see the corresponding thread:

You will see your sheet greatly inspired me...!

Indeed I do see the inspiration. We must be only people around with a landscape sheet as opposed to a portrait one

Ah well, nobody else seems to care about my sheets anyway

You gave me the landscape inspiration...

Your sheets are really nice! But there are so many character sheets now that all disappear in the mass........

I think someone posted a single thread for them. That may have been a good idea.

First post edited with updated files in both Corel 8 and PDF format. The Acrobat form is now editable.

    Nice new version

Although I'm unsure about the variable width for the specialty field. But that's just me...
