I had an idea for Leverage, tell me what you guys think.

Levels go from 1 to 10

When two Tzenkethi square off over a issue (or one wants to leverage something over the other), they comapre Leverage numbers.

The difference between the two is the modifier, applied either as a penalty/bonus to the instigator's roll or a bonus/penalty to the defender's Savvy check. Person with the highest leverage chooses.

So TZ1 and TZ2 square off. TZ1 has a leverage of 6 and TZ2 has a leverage of 8. The differnce is 2. TZ2 is the instigator and he feels his dice aren't hot, so he decides to take a +2 bonus to his Savvy check to resist. Now he could have instead given TZ1 a -2 penalty to his skill roll instead.

    Does that make sense?

Yes it does and in theory that should work effectively.

So by resurrecting this thread can I presume you are considering placing the Bonaventure in the middle of all this?

Well let's just say that any game I run be it a space station or a starship will be near enough to the Tzenkethi that they will play a major role

*chuckle* A simple yes would have sufficed.

I think a station would be far more amusing, after all the allowable chaos is far greater. *egrin*
