    Talking Benzites

Hay all, I put together a template for the Benzites? Any comments? Adjustments to fire?

    LANGUAGES: Benzite, Federation Standard

COMMON NAMES: Benzites use only their given name.

MALE NAMES: Andraganov, Fathen, Mendon, Mordock

    FEMALE NAMES: Candar, Hoya

FAVORED PROFESSION: Scientist (or starship science officer). Benzites possess a psychological drive to orderliness and the pursuit of the scientific method. Their competitiveness, especially if they’ve become renowned masters on their homeworld, brings them out into the galaxy to win acclaim not only from their own species but other species as well, either as Starfleet officers, engineersor independent explorers and scientists.

SPECIES ADJUSTMENTS: +1 Intellect, +1 Perception, -1 Presence. Benzites approach problems with keen logic and a sharp eye for detail. Their innate competitive nature, however, makes them seem uncooperative at times.

    SPECIES ABILITIES

§ BONUS EDGE: COMPETITIVE: Benzites have a competitive streak an mile long (see page 132).

§ BONUS SKILL: ENGINEERING OR SCIENCE: Their stringent approach to research and analysis lends them having any one science or engineering skill at the rank of 1. This bonus is treated as “professional” for the purposes of skill acquisition (see page 98) and advancement (see page 153).

§ GENETIC ALTERATIONS: In order to better Interact with most other Class-M species, Benzites have been genetically altered on their homeworld to withstand the rigors of hostile environments. Benzites gain a +2 bonus on all stamina reaction tests.

§ DEMONS FOR EFFICIENCY: The Benzite trait for efficiency gives them a +3 affinity bonus to Administration tests.

Cool writeup. I see you respected the spirit of LUG's Players Guide. I had to convert Lurians for the new system, so I guess I'll be posting them soon.

    Oh...I like this, man.
"War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

....good to me. I was never a fan of them. Bad first impression of that arrogant one in TNG. I think his name was Mordock??? Good job though.
