Personally, I'd say drop the Strength bonus to +2, and it would be perfect.
...or increase the Presence penalty to -3. Which, in hindsight, makes sense to me. I really don't picture the Gorn relating to outsiders any better than Vulcans do, but I do picture them stronger. I really want to keep that Strength +3, but it's reasonable to reduce Presence to match it.

Also, I meant to replace Night Blind with Thin-Blooded.

The profile is revised to take these changes into account.

Very solid, Erik. One of the best species write-ups I've seen.

Thanks. I might have to seriously think about a series with Lots of Gorn.

The lesser known /Trek/ species can give you a lot more latitude when designing the Crew's opposition for a campaign. Players do not oft compartmentalize well, and theit panicked cries of "Agh, what do we know about the Gorn/Tholians/Andorians/Tellarites/whoever" can be quite satisfying to hear.

But then, I'm a bastard at times...

A TOS movie-era game set on the Gorn frontier could be a heck of a lot of fun for that. Set it in, say, 2278, ten years after the Cestus III business, and the response to "Agh, what do we know..." might well still be "Practically nothing, but Admiral Kirk can still show you the stretch marks..."

...Most gamestores I know with backstock have copies of the TOS book. If it's in your means, I highly recommend getting it.

    Anyway, here it is:

    Suggested Attribute and Edge Ranges
    Fitness 4 [6]
    ..Strength +2
    Coordination 1 [4]
    Intellect 2 [5]
    Presence 2 [5]
    Psi 0 [5]

    Special or Unique Abilities
Excellent Chemoreception, High Pain Threshold, Rapid Healing, and Toughness. No psionics, poor diplomats.

Sorry for the delay, but what skills do Gorns have in their species templete?

None. Er, it's not a species template, it's the 'suggested ranges' from the 'new life' chapter.
