Let’s see, I’ve played/am playing:
An Android, a Caitian, two characters from a made-up race (Recatans I think, don’t have the character sheets here…not looking either) (all 25th Cent.), and one lowly Human (
23rd Cent. Movie Era)
(Oh, and would the Moderator please adjust the poll...I could only place 'Human' once, then I couldn't vote any more...let's not see another 'Florida')
...and that's about the time it hit the fan...
Truisms I know:
1) Marvel is NOT better than DC (nor should EVERYTHING be ‘ULTIMITED’),
2) D20 is NOT the best gaming system out there (nor should EVERYTHING be ‘crammed’ into it),
3) And No matter how ‘THEY’ dress it up, Regardless of how ‘THEY’ title it, and even if ‘THEY’ say “BASED ON…”; “ENTERPRISE” IS NOT STAR TREK!!!
4) 'Reality' T.V. ain't 'Real'

Hmm. I've had two campaigns that have since died out, but during their heyday, we had the following:
DS9/Gamma Quadrant:
1 Benzite
1 Bajoran
1 Cardassian
3 Humans
1 Orion
USS PERSEUS (TOS era)
1 Axanari
2 Humans
1 Vulcan
1 Medusan/Human hybrid (WEIRD!)
The only stated preference for the DecipherTrek game I might someday run is a Cardassian/Vulcan Hybrid.
Actually, I'm kind of thinking about doing a "Star Trek: Union" campaign or mini-campaign. Set during the early days of the Cardassian Union with the civilian Detapa Council trying to "reform" the Cardassian worlds into a less dictatorial system. I've already designed period Cardassian Frigates (picture the forward crescent of a Galor Class without the additional bulky body), Bajoran pilgrims in fast sublight Pilgrimage class transports. Dopterans and maybe Ferengi, with a Vulcan High Command surveyor nosing into the area for the first time.
Probably won't get to run it, alas, but I've been tinkering nevertheless...
Tweaked the wording of the poll to reflect the inability to select more than one species.
In the games I run, the vast majority of the players are human. I've even had a (gasp!) all human crew once.![]()

I like mostly human crews, that's what made Spock so special, the fact that he wasn't human. Ditto Worf.

In my Dominion campaign I have:
a Vulcan exile
an El-Aurian
an EMH
and a Jem-hadar fugitive, recently turned spiritual by the Bajoran Prophets.
Beat that for a diverse bunch!![]()

Don, oh great and powerful admin; would you kindly add 3 ‘Other’ and 1 ‘Human’ to ‘the vote’?
I can’t get the ‘polling station’ anymore…and I might have to declare a ‘Florida’ on this whole thing
Thanks...

2 Humans (Helm and a gene-resequenced Chief Engineer)
1 Trill (Science Officer)
1 Klingon/Vulcan ("Combat" Medic)
1 Bajoran/Human (Sec. Chief)
1 Betazed (1st Officer)
1 Andorian (Tactical [prodigy])
NPCs of note:
CO is (Human) Capt. Marisa Ramius ("She's from Maine?.. oh... right.")
CMO is (Kaferian; TAS/FASA?) Cmdr. T'shk'tk'lkk'tak ("Just call me Doctor Bug...")![]()
