    Talking 'Where' am I...

Let’s see…my campaign could be best described as ‘alternate-future‘: it’s set in the 25th Cent., but Archer and co. never existed in the past (so nothing can be ‘mucked’-up by B&B). Everything progressed from the four series (more or less…some stuff from Voy. made no sense, no how…)
...and that's about the time it hit the fan...

    Truisms I know:
    1) Marvel is NOT better than DC (nor should EVERYTHING be ‘ULTIMITED’),
    2) D20 is NOT the best gaming system out there (nor should EVERYTHING be ‘crammed’ into it),
    3) And No matter how ‘THEY’ dress it up, Regardless of how ‘THEY’ title it, and even if ‘THEY’ say “BASED ON…”; “ENTERPRISE” IS NOT STAR TREK!!!
    4) 'Reality' T.V. ain't 'Real'

The freeform chat games I play in are mostly set just post Dominion War. (They'd been running a few months behind the TV shows to avoid continuity errors, so the DW was gamed as well) One of them is now set 20-25 years ahead of the other sims, in a galaxy reached through a Progenitor-powered wormhole type thingy. This way we can plead "alternate timeline" if/when new movies/shows come out.

I want to run a late "Movie Era" gameset a bit before ST6. (And, no, 5 didn't happen in my universe, either...) I really hated the conspiracy in ST6. "Hey, let's work together secretly so we can kill each other later!" WTF? Typical Hollyweird military-industrial horse droppings... The Big E gets trounced by the Klingons after the attack on Quonos 1, & Kirk ends up critically injured ala Capt. Pike. It'll turn out that there were opposing conspiracies instead of a grand alliance of warmongers. Hints of those will have been dropped in the year or so of gametime before the Praxis disaster. The Klingon side will be somewhat like the movie, manuvering to start a war. The conspiracy amongst the Fed brass will be to hide just how poorly the incident was handled.

Our campaign begins in 2156, midway between the first season of Enterprise and the founding of the Federation. Our ship is the S.S. Artemis, second of the Daedalus-class starships. Our missions thus far have involved encounters during Artemis' shakedown cruise, and will eventually immerse us in the Romulan War most likely.

Our current game, set aboard the USS Musashi, began in 2377, two years after the Dominion War and (apparently) one year prior to ST: Nemesis.

Other games I've played or narrated (back in FASA days) have ranged from TOS through ST:VI.
