    CODA Formv3 Formula Error

    Don:
I believe I found a gremlin. In the form version of the pdf (a wonderful item by the way), in the upper right corner of page 1 there is an area for Initiative.

Quite frankly, I don't think the formula for adding the Quickness and Miscellaneous modifiers have been enabled, as when one types in the value for the Misc, the total never changes (and is wrong to begin with relative to the values of the Quickness).

    Thumbs up

I've uploaded a new version with the following fixes:

    - Vitality field fixed
    - Re-did how Initiative is calculated
    - Adjusted all the form skill fields to align with fixed text and adjusted size. (I don't know how this got messed up from the earlier version.)

Let me know if you find any other errors!

Sadly, that IS what I did, three times now -- I assumed that was SOP.

Well, I'll try a fourth time...

A very nice sheet, Don. The LCARS look is cool, the colours neither too garish nor to dark to write on. The auto calucation is very impressive. Many thanks.

Cmdr. Maddox: try Patrick Murphy's character sheets in the Computer Core. He has forms red, gold and blue for Starfleet, Romulan forms, Klingon forms and forms galore.

    Thumbs up New Version

Hello all. I've uploaded a new version of my Coda Form (v3.15) on the first page of this thread. I recommend that everyone upgrade to this version.

    Changes:
    - Fixed a bug in the Reactions section
    - Fixed a bug to now allow negative parry values
    - Fixed a nasty bug in the weapon notes field (ooops!)
    - Added BIG numbers for attributes and modifiers
    - Again tweaked skill placement to align properly. (I did this at 600% magnification to make sure to get it right.)
    - Redid the tab orders for both pages

Previous character data should import without any problems.

I only anticipate one more update to add "markers" for favored attributes and skills, plus any bug fixes/requests. Feedback is appreciated!

    Don,

I'm getting a "Bad CRC" error when trying to extract the file from the zip. I've tried downloading it twice (clicking on it and doing the right-click-and-save-as method) with no success.

Do you (or anyone for that matter) know what might be causing this?

    CRC

It means something in the pdf file is corrupted. One can try downloading it again.

I had the same problem last night and have yet to download again.
    I used WinZip8beta.

    Question

I finishing changes on the latest iteration. Anyone using this form/sheet besides me? (Been real quiet...)

Next version has checkboxes in Acrobat for the Wound Levels, boxes for favored attributes, reactions, and professional skills. After that, I'm probably going to call the form "done" and move onto a starship combat sheet.

    Any requests or feedback appreciated!

I've actually finished the Wound Level checkboxes and they're COOL! It's a little annoying as you have to check your boxes off for each level, but once you do it looks really cool. After you print it out it's easy to see how much damage your character can take.

I'm pretty stoked. Considering all the hours I've put in this form (egads, must be over 20 at least), I really like it.

Now to start planning for the starship combat sheet. (Bwahahaha!)

    Wink

What, you can't get the boxes to auto-fill based on the character's calculated Health? Disappointed! Disappointed!!!
